AAMCO Transmissions of Columbus Reviews (7)

This was a bench buildThe customer brought the transmission to us We re-built itThe customer picked up the unit and they had it installed The then brought the van here We performed a complete EDS which indicated an internal problem They were advised to have the unit removed and bring the unit back to us They never brought the unit back to us This was a complicated situation, however we needed them to bring it back There was a month warranty on the work and had they brought it back to us we would have corrected the problem Apparently, they chose to take it some place else for additional work instead of allowing us to repair it under the warranty The proceeds they paid was for the bench build It was preformed Many times additional work is required, this is why we gave a warranty on our work However, the client must allow us the opportunity to perform any required additional services

The timing chain was properly installed She did not have a brake problem when we worked on her car We did not service her car for a brake problemOne may have developed after she picked up her car We attempted to help this customer Hence, the payment plan for the work we did do that she was unable to pay for Many times other repairers disagree, therefore, we cannot respond to what others say the issues were when she took it someone else This customer was unable to afford all the work needed on her car at the time we worked on itWe did what we could to help

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Aamco did not properly install the timing chain on my vehicle. The bolts were left loose per Certified Chevy DealershipsThis has caused a snowball affect on my vehicle for other engine problems and eventually the timing chain brokeEven my warranty company agrees and said they are at faultI would like my review and complaint will continue to be public to keep others informed of this place and their scams to keep people unsafe on the road as they fail to take any responsibility for their actionsThank you Revdex.com]

All charges were explained to the customerthe customer paid all charges as required and picked up his vehicle

Ms*** brought her car in on 5/25/ At that time the the vehicle was brought here it was sputtering (shaking) It was determined that she needed four new catalytic converters in addition to a new timing chain She could not afford the converters I obtained two
converters for her and told her she needed to get the other two as soon as possible I also set up a payment plan for the two we installed to help her get back on the road She was informed that she might have issues with her car if those converters were not replaced I attempted to help this customer as much as I could I allowed her to get her car back even though she was not able to pay for the work or the parts that we performed She has not paid for the converters that were a part of the payment plan This customer's problems existed when she brought the car here Her problems that occurred after she picked up her car related to the fact that she needed four new converters There were no brake issues when we worked on her car She is not due any refund and she still has an outstanding balance on her payment plan

The timing chain was properly installed.  She did not have a brake problem when we worked on her car.  We did not service her car for a brake problem. One may have developed after she picked up her car.  We attempted to help this customer.  Hence, the payment plan for the work we did do that she was unable to pay for.  Many times other repairers disagree, therefore, we cannot respond to what others say the issues were when she took it someone else.  This customer was unable to afford all the work needed on her car at the time we worked on it. We did what we could to help.

This was a bench build. The customer brought the transmission to us.  We re-built it. The customer picked up the unit and they had it installed.  The then brought the van here.  We performed a complete EDS which indicated an internal problem.  They were advised to have the unit...

removed and bring the unit back to us.  They never brought the unit back to us.  This was a complicated situation, however we needed them to bring it back.  There was a 12 month warranty on the work and had they brought it back to us we would have corrected the problem.  Apparently, they chose to take it some place else for additional work instead of allowing us to repair it under the warranty.  The proceeds they paid was for the bench build.  It was preformed.  Many times additional work is required, this is why we gave a warranty on our work.  However, the client must allow us the opportunity to perform any required additional services.
