AAMCO Transmissions of Patchogue

Review: Friday morning I call [redacted] at AAMCO to ask about my trucks transmission issues. I went to see him, he gathered info about my truck and takes the keys to do further testing, I ride my bicycle 5 miles home and wait without hearing back so,I call about 4;30pm [redacted] gives me a list of problems as follows; needs new Master/slave assembly, clutch, Transmission resealed and a quote of $1800.00 I ask if he could work with me if I pay cash, he agrees and says it will be ready Monday. NO call back on Monday, I call, he says, it will be Tuesday, No call back on Tuesday. I call, he says Wednesday. No call back on Wednesday. I call, he says it will be ready Thursday. No call back on Thursday I call, he says Friday. No call back on Friday. I call and ask about the Quote of $1800.00 he says, I never quoted you that, Its $1994.00. I get a ride from a friend and visit [redacted], he says he changed the Universal joint and that's why its more money,his mechanic says," didn't you hear the clunking noise?"I tell him that they were just replaced 4 weeks ago by a licensed mechanic, his mechanic changes his story and says,"I didn't actually change it, it was installed wrong, I added a pin that I stole from another one. I asked to see the bills, He takes me into his office and is now ignoring me and taking phone calls then, says we installed the wrong parts and that I will have to pay for half the difference but will take off most of the price for the Universal joint. I say," you never called me once for 8 days and I need to work, go to school, arrange rides and travel" he apologizes and says well its been a long time since i've worked on a 93 dodge truck. Its now Monday and I'm sitting home sick to my stomach from all this mess and still no vehicle.. HELP!Desired Settlement: My truck is not fixed yet.I have not paid for services yet and I do not want them to do any Warranty work if my truck breaks down from their work and needs to be fixed again for Warranty purposes. I am not sure if I will need Compensation for AAMCO charging me for parts that they never installed and for installing the wrong parts at my expense.I will need to take my truck to another qualified mechanic to have AAMCOs work confirmed at my expense. What about,Pain and suffering and,Loss of work?

At this time, I have been contacted directly by AAMCO Transmissions of Patchogue regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I told him that I didn't feel comfortable going to him because of how I was treated on Friday July *th when his manager [redacted] scratched the side of my truck and backed into a garbage can knocking it over, he said, we looked at the video and it did not hit the wall and you did not tell me about the garbage can., the video is such poor quality, you can't tell. I said I just wanted to resolve the mechanical issues at that time, [redacted]s behavior was not my priority , he offered me $130.00 for the price of a rental car and said that was the best he could do.

I asked about the credit card refusal and if he would honor the points, he started to get aggravated saying his time is worth more money and he has spent 30 minutes on the phone with me already and sue me if you want and he hung up on me.

In total, I lost 15 days of work at $200.00 per day and lost out on two other side jobs.

I could not sleep,

I have acid reflux reoccurrence.

Having trouble focusing on my career and school.

I understand that things can go wrong but they did not call me and they lied about so many things and are in violation of not giving me a written estimate before taking out my transmission and they are supposed to have a sign with 96 bold print in open view stating this, which they do not.
