If you do not try at least 5 times per season, this can go on for many years because MN has a lot of weather. Costs... typically go up from year to year so if you do not try, we just ask that you bring your certificate up to the price at that time. All of this is clearly stated on our promotional material, website, the certificate itself and me personally. Obviously, if a passenger cancels a flight, that is not an attempt at flying. This passenger has made 5 total attempts in 2.5 years and NO attempts in ALL of 2014. If you don't get on the calendar, you will never fly. I will not address claims that we did not fly when this passenger claims we could have. I am a veteran FAA balloon pilot with almost 30 years of experience, there is no one that wants to fly more than me but I will not fly if it is not safe, period. I have never been rude to a passenger even though, as in this case, they are rude and untruthful to me. We have flown thousands and thousands of passengers that understand how weather affects outdoor activities in MN...they had the time of their lives. I am mailing a full refund to this passenger today because this passenger does not deserve to fly with us and should never contact us again.
