NOTE FROM Revdex.com MRC ** ***: PLEASE SEE ATTACHED ORIGINAL RESPONSE FROM BUSINESS.---Mrs*** met with our designer in store in early November and selected several pieces of art from the vendor's catalogueWe provided her with color copies of the art she selected to take home and show her
husbandAt that meeting she also ordered an area rug and bench from different vendors providing a 50% deposit as required for custom ordersIt was explained that custom orders require a deposit and the balance on delivery.She returned to the store and placed the order for the art she (and husband) had selected and asked how long it would take to arriveThe designer explained that these were manufactured specifically in the size requested so we would have to wait for our order to be made.At that time Mrs*** asked that a rug previously ordered be replaced in a different sizeIt was explained that custom orders are final sales but that manufacturer would allow the exchange with a restocking fee and freight paid on the return?rs*** agreed to absorb those charges to exchange the rug.Note: Our sales receipts bear the language: "CUSTOM ORDERS ARE NOT RETURNABLE"When the art arrived 4-weeks after the order was placed Mr*** picked up the pieceMrs*** called several days later to say "the art doesn't work." She explained it had purple in it and that wasn't a color visible in the catalogue photoShe was asked to provide a photo of the piece but she chose to have her husband bring the art back although we explained it is not returnable although we could have a local artist paint over any undesired color on the canvasShe declined that resolution.The art has no purple on the canvasWe have photos of the catalogue depiction and the actual pieceThere is no purple in either of the photos.Mrs*** asked for the vendor name and address to directly request a return privilege and we provided that but the vendor will not accept a return.We will resolve this situation overriding our store policy and accept a 20% restocking fee to accept the return of this custom orderWe will refund all but $plus tax on this purchase but we cannot accept any further custom orders from Mrs***
