quarterly perimeter treatments around the homeA coup e of years ago they began to have rodent issues in their garageThey were storing their trash and recycle bins in the garageI placed rodent bait stations in the garage for them and the infestation was solved No further activity had been found in the garage after a month or soLater a rodent had entered the home and was observed in their family roomI baited the crawl space a few times and the infestation was eliminated The damage to the insulation was done at that timeThe rodent urine smell was detected at that time I screened a broken vent at that time to prevent rodent entryI continued to monitor the perimeter rodent bait stations and there was light rodent activity (which is common in perimeter baiting programs), no rodent activity had been observed in the garage.Because of their long relationship with us, I did not charge them any additional fees for any of the additional services required for the rodent control.They put their home up for sale and a home inspector found the evidence of the old rodent infestationI recommended the Insulation firm to remove and replace the insulationThese firms can find rodent entries after the insulation has been removed that cannot be found when the insulation is hanging.*** believes that I should pay for the remediationThis is not my responsibility I also stopped by while the workman was just finishing the replacement of the insulationThey stated that they had I found some rodent entries under the deck once the insulation was removed and they screened these areas to prevent rodent entry to the crawl space He did not state to me that they had not observed and current active infestation.She states that no manager had gotten back to herI had talked to her and I am one of the owner/managers of this firm.I am very sad to see the loss of this long term customer, but replacing the insulation is not my responsibility

I am rejecting this response because I feel that AARD pest control should reimburse us in the amount of $4,as previously noted for full replacement cost of the insulationBill did not at any time request to go back into our crawl space to retreat areaI assumed since he did not feel this was necessary that there were no problems in our crawl spaceImagine our absolute shock when the insulation company, noted the extent of damageIn contrast to what Bill has stated, the insulation company did say that the damage was freshThis whole situation is an example of terrible customer serviceIt is very surprising for a small company to not take better care of their customersMy complaint remains
