We worked with Aardansco soon after we bought our Monument home in August 2009. They had been recommended by friends and we met and talked about our proposed remodeling project, which would not start until 2014.

Unusually long timeline? Perhaps, but we are planners and were living out of state. We wanted to be comfortable with our contractors' expertise and personal commitment to bringing our dreams to fruition. We have had the good fortune to have had great experiences in two other states with two custom homes we had built, and we wanted a third.

We got it. Our comfort level was established in the first couple of meetings and conversations. We asked for a detailed timeline for remodeling our home, which was built in the early 1990s, and worked with them on plans. We met with them in person only once or twice a year to discuss our ideas and the Aardansco designer worked them into her CAD drawings. We tweaked the plans several times, established what the work would cost, and signed a contract.

Our tenants moved out of this home the end of November 2013; the Aardansco crew began demolition work in mid-December. Work progressed satisfactorily throughout the reconstruction, from January through mid-July 2014, when we moved into our home. Several times throughout that period, we had a Sunday conference call with the owner and his designer, to ask questions or answer them for each other. We also drove up from New Mexico to make several key decisions on site, which helped them complete the work quickly and correctly.

Our trust in Aardansco was fullfilled. When changes were required, we were informed promptly. And when you tear a home down to the bones, as we did, problems were bound to be discovered. Some fixes were major, others minor. We trusted their advice because they had listened to our needs all along and they knew their craft.

Our kitchen is a delight to work in, not just because it is all new, but because their attention to details takes our breath away, regularly. It is a practical, comfortable, beautiful and unique space. So is the rest of our home. For example, the steam shower in the master bath is spacious and a work of art, as is the adjoining walk-in closet. We had the weathered and time-worn back deck and front porch replaced after we moved in, as planned. It fit the subcontractor's schedule and so, too, ours as we settled in. Plus, our movers did not have to be concerned on their many trips in and out of the house from the semi-trailer of household goods.

In summary, we (and our cats) highly recommend Aardansco Construction, no matter whether you are planning a large or small project. They are good people and top-drawer professionals. We gladly would work with them again, and consider them our friends.

We recently had our basement completely refinished by Aardansco. The professionalism and detail oriented work of Aardansco were truly impressive. We were informed each step of the way what the progress was and what the next step was. My wife and I really appreciated their willingness to work with us on custom finishes.
