Louis Shanks routinely special orders furnishings from manufacturers, and gives the customer our best estimates of availability and delivery (an average of about weeks). However, sometimes material and supply shortages cause a manufacturer to take longer than usual, and Louis Shanks cannot

Louis Shanks offered to expedite delivery to the customer by Saturday, May 13th, and to accommodate the customer by refunding the delivery fee of $149.00. As an alternative, Louis Shanks offered to cancel the sale and refund the entire purchase amount to the customer. After giving these options to the customer on May 11th, the customer must have decided to report this to the Revdex.com. The customer is apparently refusing our offers. Since this sale is already priced at closeout prices, further discounts cannot be offered to the customer

Louis Shanks offered our "Day Comfort Guarantee" on this sale. We gave the customer three choices since he was unhappy with the performance of his mattress: (1) Trade the mattress for another mattress (something different). (2) If the customer wants to keep his current
mattress, we can file a defect claim with the manufacturer of his mattress, and have the manufacturer inspect his mattress, or (3) We offered to pickup the mattress from the customer and give his purchase money back (refund of credit card). The customer has refused all three offers.Regarding the customer's claim of a "used" mattress. We have traced the origin of the mattress through our records. The mattress was built (manufactured) on April 23, 2015. It was shipped and received by Louis Shanks on April 29, 2015, and delivered to *** *** on May 8th. We are confident that the mattress was not "used".At this time, Louis Shanks is waiting for a response from the customer to schedule pickup of the mattress in order to process a refund

From: [redacted] Sent: Thursday, July 02, 2015 11:32 AM To: info Subject: complaint [redacted].   Dear Revdex.com,  In reference to my Revdex.com complaint [redacted].   Louis Shanks is falsifying info in their reply to you.  In fact, I accepted LS refund offer with conditions.  I believe I have irrefutable evidence that Louis Shanks is covering up illegal selling of used mattresses.  I believe it is the Revdex.com’s duty to ferret out this conspiracy along with government regulators and police.  I am in possession of the used, not “defective” mattress.  I do not know how or where the used mattress got into the supply chain.  The ‘'”law tag” is crumpled and does not look new.  The “law tag” is not date imprinted in the proper position.  After sleeping the first night body impressions were very obvious in the mattress.  After 11 days I made an evidence YouTube video available to LS.  Now they want to give me my money back.  I had to pay an extra $150 for their “comfort guarantee”.  This was not included in the price of the mattress.  Louis Shanks has refused my request to replace the mattress.  Louis Shanks refuses to even come and inspect the mattress.  It will cost another $150, for a total of $300, in order for LS to come replace the mattress under the “comfort guarantee”.  Some guarantee.  Without inspecting the mattress, Louis Shanks has no basis to claim the mattress is not used.  All in all, it would seem Louis Shanks is in business of ripping off their customers.  Please request law enforcement to investigate this racket.  My conditions for resolution of this issue.   1.  LS shall issue an American Express credit to my account for the full purchase amount of $5517.50.   Louis Shanks shall make the mattress available to investigators.  2.  After the credit is complete I shall shop for a replacement mattress and inform LS of the delivery date.  3.  I shall then inform LS of the time when they should remove their old mattress.  If they do not pick it up in a reasonable time it shall be considered abandoned.  After pick up, the mattress must be made available to investigators.  4.  Please note that when LS picks up the mattress, the evidence is gone.  I’m sure LS would like nothing better than to get their crooked mattress back and away from law enforcement.  In order to address this issue, I shall make these proceedings public through KXAN and KVUE in order for their investigations to proceed.  [redacted]
