Review: I wrote a check to hold my daughters spot for Pre-K for Sept 2013. The check was written in Feb 2013. Their policy states that refunds will be made as long as its two weeks prior to the start date). Its about 5 months before the start date. Noone will let me know when I will get my check back (for almost $500.00). I call and asked for management and they said there is no management to give me an answer. I dont understand why they just cant write the check and mail it to me. I have called for three weeks now and have not had an answer.Desired Settlement: I would like a check back for the amount I wrote (minus the registration fee of $37.00).

Review: My child was enrolled at Aardvark Child Care. I paid, each month in advance, a monthly fee of $850.On October 17, 2013, a representative of Aardvark contacted me and asked me to immediately pick up my child, which I did. It was my understanding that Aardvark was removing my child from their program, effective immediately and without advance notice. I therefore requested from Aardvark a refund of my paid-in-advance, but unused, child care fee for October 2013. Some weeks later, Aardvark sent me a check for $212.50, representing a quarter of my October payment, even though my child had attended day care for only about half the month. Aardvark never provided me any policy on proration of unused child care fees and removing a child from a program, while retaining fees paid for attendance seems unscrupulous to say the least. I calculate a refund is due to me for October 2013 as follows: Monthly child care fee paid in advance: $850School days in October: 23Daily rate we paid: 850/23 or $36.96 per day Unused days: (October 18-31): 10Refund requested: $36.96*10 or $369.60Before contacting Revdex.com I have tried unsuccessfully to work through the issue with the child care business.Since Aardvark has refunded $212.50 to me, I now ask for Revdex.com assistance in recovering the remaining balance which is $157.10.Thank you.Desired Settlement: Request refund of the balance of my paid-in-advance, but unused, child care fee in the amount of $157.10.

Dear Revdex.com,

In response to your letter dated December 2, 2013 please be advised that the client signed the attached contract which clearly indicated a weekly tuition rate of $212.50 per week. This weekly rate is for situations in which a client begins or ends services mid month. The start date of 8/12/13 resulted in a tuition payment of $637.00 which is 3 weeks at $212.50 rounded to $637.00,

The client was contacted on 10/17/13 to pick up their child due to threats of violence towards a teacher. This was a repeat of the same procedure which had been used during previous episodes of violence. At no time were the clients informed their care was being terminated. Instead we were working with the parents, child, and therapist and requested a conference to address concerns of violence.

On 10/22/13 we contacted client to follow up on a conference time, it was at this time we were informed of their intent to withdrawal. As per the agreement a two week noticc is required to end the contract. The clients did not provide the necessary withdrawal notice and instead claimed they misunderstood the situation and thought their care was being terminated,.

During the conversation on 10/22/13 client requested photographs, Scholastic book order, Kid Stuff book and if he could get a credit for the remained of October.

The client was informed to make the request in writing noting a date of withdrawal.

Attached please find an email from the client which followed the discussion. In the best interested of all concerned the Board of Directors waived the two week notice of withdrawal and refunded the correct amount of $212.50. Attached please find the check which was presented to the bank on 11/ 16/13. The client is in receipt of all items requested and the relationship is defunct,

Thank you for your attention to this matter and should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact our center.
