Aaron Austin Custom Blinds & Shutters Reviews (5)

On March 29, 2014 I issued a deposit to [redacted] of Aaron Austin Custom Blinds in the sum of $650 for custom plantation style shutters. On July 2, 2014, after repeated phone calls and emails, [redacted] acknowledged that he was unable to deliver the shutters as agreed owing to duress and the failure of his business, and was additionally unable to refund my deposit. The physical address provided on his receipt is false, the house is unoccupied and it is not owned by [redacted] has to date not responded to repeated emails and phone calls. I have every reason to believe he misappropriated my deposit nor did he have at the time any intention of fulfilling the terms of our contract.Product_Or_Service: 3 1/2" Plantation ShuttersDesired SettlementI want my $650 deposit returned to me promptly.Business Response HI [redacted],The dispute with [redacted] is settled and his money has been refunded in full. Feel free to call him to verify.Thank you ,[redacted]

Ordered Shutters on 8/1/14 with an expected delivery of 6 - 8 weeks. At 12 weeks started trying to contact owner - and have not been able to.Shutters ordered 08/01/14 - cannot contact [redacted](owner) to get any kind of update. Email provided is not a valid address / phone voice mailbox is full. Deposit of $450.00 was paid. Proceed to Revdex.com page to see if any issues were reported and unfortunately there have been several. Complaints listed on Revdex.com were ongoing during the time I made my order - if business was not operable and under duress - the order should never have been taken and promised and deposit requested.Desired SettlementDeposit refunded as I will need to proceed with another source for the shutters.Business Response Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do not see nor have I received any response from the business. I have left numerous phone msgs and attempted to send emails(which have all been returned) requesting that some refund of my down payment be initiated.Do not understand this automated prompt from Revdex.com for a response to business reply - when I do not see anything from the business in question.

We ordered shutters 5 mo. ago. No shutters, no deposit back, doesn't return phone calls. On 11/25/13 [redacted] came to our house and we ordered a pair of shutters from him. We gave him a deposit of $170. He said it would take about 10 weeks. It's been over 5 months and they are still not here. Every time I called in the past he said it's taking longer than expected. Now he doesn't return my calls. I left messages on 4/22/14 and 4/28/14. We'd like the shutters or our deposit back and we'll order them somewhere else.Desired SettlementShutters or deposit back.Business Response I had a problem with one of my suppliers. This is the only supplier that offers the type of shutter that she wanted. I ultimately could not get the issue with my supplier resolved. I have refunded the customers money back via check from my business account and it has cleared my bank. Issue is resolved. Thank you ,[redacted]

My blinds were inferior when installed. Refund and removal of blinds was promised. Nine months later, nothing has happened. On July10,2013 I placed an order for faux wood blinds with [redacted], dba Aaron Austin Custom Blinds. They were installed on July 31 and the balance was paid. Total was $270.00, of which $200.00 was paid by check on July 10th and $70.00cash was paid on July 31st. Upon installation I immediately noticed that they were sagging and the slats were very thin, not at all the like the product I was promised. I contacted him on Aug. 2nd to express my disappointment, said he would check on it for me. After several calls and e-mails, he finally came by on Aug.12th and looked at the blinds and admitted they were inferior and he wold make them good for me. Nothing happened, so I continued to call and e-mail him, telling him we need to get this settled. On Aug. 26th he showed up to take pictures of the sagging blinds to send to his supplier. On Sept. 12th, I e-mailed him again since I had not heard anything from him. He put me off again and we finally set an appointment for him to come by on Oct. 14th and take the blinds down and give me a full refund. Guess what, he was a no show! Contacted him again on Nov. 19th and he finally e-mailed me back on Nov. 20th, said he was broke, business was bad, etc. etc. and that he would call me when he gets on his feet again, that he was a "man of his word", etc. etc. Fast forward to April 2014, no word from him, I have e-mailed him again and of course no answer. I have more than patient with Mr. [redacted] regarding this and all I want is the removal of these tacky, sagging blinds and my $270.00 refunded. Please help!!!! I tried contacting him thru Aaron Austin Custom Blinds and that e-mail was not delivered, but I did e-mail him personally and that was delivered, but of course no reply on his part.Desired Settlement$270.00 and the removal of the sagging blinds.Business Response Final Consumer Response [redacted]@att.net10.14.XX X:XX PM to me [redacted]We can reopen this case as Not Resolved. I contacted Mr. [redacted] on Thursday September 17, 2015, we talked and he SAID he was going to mail me a check for 1/2 of what he owes me the next day. It is now 4 weeks later and no sign of any check. I also sent him a text to which there has been no reply. I have very little faith that he ever intends to make good on my blinds. Please advise what I need to do next.Thank you,[redacted]XXX-XXX-XXXX homeXXX-XXX-XXXX cell

Shutters were ordered March 31, 2014 and paid for ($1950.00).No opportunity for communication. They have moved. They do not return calls nor e-mails.We met with[redacted] on March 31, 2014. He showed us shutter styles, colors, and took measurements. We ordered[redacted] Plantation Style Shutters and paid him $1950.00; check # 1200, [redacted] Bank,[redacted], TN. After 7 weeks...we called[redacted] to figure out what the delay was and express concern. We also talked to [redacted]. Since that time they have avoided connecting with us. We last communicated with the [redacted] in mid- June. They blamed personal issues, industry/business problems and changing residences/location as reasons for being unable to deliver on product and services. They will not return any calls nor e-mails. [redacted] and [redacted] previously prided themselves on service, honesty and integrity. We continue to hope that they still believe in those personal and business values. Time will tell.Desired Settlement$1950.00 cash refund as soon as possible.Business Response:The matter concerning [redacted] has been resolved and he is willing to withdraw his complaint. Please feel free to contact him and he will verify. Let me know if there is anything else you will need from me.Thank you,
