today, October *, 2014, by telephone with [redacted]. I explained to him that I am able to replace the watch with identical item in similar condition for $6000. If he went online he would see various choices between $5000 and $6200. He agreed to accept my offer of an adjustment from the original $5500 contract price for $6000. We have resolved our difference amicably.

Review: I used Aaron Faber Gallery to consign a watch. The contractual agreement was a 6-8 week term, with the option to opt out at the end of the term. The watch did not sell at the end of the 8 weeks. I called and left a voice mail and sent an email to the store's inventory [redacted], [redacted], requesting to pick the watch up. I had decided that I no longer wished to sell the watch and wanted to keep it as it had sentimental value. She confirmed with me over email that I could come pick the watch up. We made arrangements for me to collect the watch 3 days later. The morning of the agreed upon date, [redacted] called me to inform me that the watch had been sold, and that it could not be recovered.
I asked to speak with the gallery's [redacted], [redacted], but he never returned my phone call. After calling for a fourth time, I finally got a hold of him. He explained that there was a mix up, and to compensate me all he could offer was an expedited payment (1 week instead of 5). I told him that was completely unacceptable and that they had no right to sell my watch after I had told them I was cancelling the contract.Desired Settlement: The outcome that I think is fair is to be given the full market value of the watch. They had it advertised for sale for $7,950. This watch cannot be replaced as it was a gift from my father, but I am hopeful that you can help me recoup my financial loss.
