size. I then contacted [redacted] to inform him of the delay because we would have to re order the door. He was very upset requesting a refund, he also wanted to cancel the service, and  demanded that I give him the name of the wholesaler to take matters into his own hands. I understand his frustrations. At the same time l dont want to jeprodize my relationship with my wholsaler. I told him on the phone that the only way we could proceed is if he waited until the door came in and I could install it for the total we agreed upon. He refused to pay the total ammount and wanted major discount or he would cancel services. I told him that I couldn't give a discount because I used it to purchace the door. Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: This response has several lies and is not accurate. See below:
-The contract between us does not state that the deposit is non-refundable.
-[redacted] did not reach out to inform me that the door arrived in the wrong size. I had to reach out to him after waiting over 5 weeks to find out the status, at which point after multiple emails he responded.
-I asked for a discount, given the inconvenience. When [redacted] refused, I offered to contact the manufacture directly to ask. I asked [redacted] for proof that [redacted] actually ordered a door (invoice, receipt, anything) to show he did not simply steal our deposit and he could not provide.
-[redacted] stated in email on 1/11 that a new door was ordered and it would be another 5 weeks. It is now 3/29 and there is no door, no refund, no communication from [redacted]. But, he deposited my check, and has kept my money. He stole it.
-[redacted] did not ever attempt to do this job and I never refused to pay for the job. That is a lie. There was never a phone conversation between us about this.
-In an email on 2/15 [redacted] states he will provide a refund and will send a check to my house. It is 3/29 and there is no refund. No check. No communication from [redacted].
Bottom line: [redacted] cashed a $2800 check, did no work, and is keeping the money. This is illegal. I  want my money back and do not want to do business with [redacted].
Sincerely,[redacted]
