Aaron Ornamental Iron Inc Reviews (2)

I’ve received the complaint lodged against our company and
anyone knowing our reputation and tenure with the Revdex.com knows that we take this
very seriously. We provided a custom
made door and custom railing for this particular client and I agree that we
missed the mark on customer
service. We
did run behind as the leaves mentioned were one issue. The leaves chosen originally were no longer
available as stated. While the customer may have had input on the
leaves used, we ultimately had to use a much larger leave and trim and
manipulate it to work. The customer also
mentions the glass that did run a little longer than anticipated. In talking of the glass the customer wound up
changing their mind and wanted to upgrade the glass, which we did at no
charge. We definitely had delays and
issues with our scheduling(our guys work from daylight till dark Monday through
Thursday averaging 48-hours a week, so no, we normally try not to work
Fridays). Our scheduling issues are born
of a heavy workload and custom fabricating end products by hand using raw
materials. Sometimes the intense number
of steps involved become an issue(the lockset and there was an additional
lockset, etc) and our guys may miss the mark on that as well. This was the perfect storm for things to go
wrong. When this door was delivered and
discovered to not be what the customer ordered(leaves-wise), I left the office,
showed up at the customer’s house and told them that we’d show up on an agreed
day, take out the door and secure the opening, work all night if we had to and
return the following day with the corrected door. This is what we did. They did agree to what day it was the
following week and were flexible with me face to face and I did call them after
I got back to the office to bump it a day to insure we could do as
promised. They were fine with that. Our guys did show back up as promised and I’d
already let them know originally that it would be taken out early one day and
reinstalled late the next. This what we
did. I’ve heard nothing about bent
locksets or stripped screws until this letter.
Again, it is not an easy task to create custom functional art from raw
materials, but that’s what we do on a regular basis. We’d been doing this on a regular basis since
and have had no more than two or three Revdex.com related issues in those thirty
some odd years. My sincerest apologies
go out to this customer that the ball was dropped on their order. When we finished the project, we got approval
while our installer was on site. We, as
always, get paid when the job is complete.
The customer asked if they could delay in paying and we agreed that
they’d pay within around two weeks. I’m
surprised that we got paid if there was an outlying issue. I personally toil when a customer is not
satisfied and do not take it lightly. As for the request of a $refund mentioned on the Revdex.com
compliant line, I view that as sponsored extortion and don’t agree with that in
this forum in any form and would have no association with it if it(the Revdex.com)
allowed it. It smacks of yet an entire
other level of entitlement placed on the backs of small business

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute

MrB[redacted] of Aaron Iron Works, Inc(AIW) indicates that he
takes our complaint seriouslyHowever,
it does not appear that he has taken it too seriously as he has only said that
our complaint and request of a $1,refund is "sponsored extortion and
smacks of yet an entire other level of entitlement placed on the back of small
business"
We, as a retired couple on a fixed income were taken
advantage of by a company who was to fabricate and install front porch railings
and front door within – weeks from date of
acceptance of our contract with them which ultimately took weeks to
complete. During that weeks, this
company had use of our 50% deposit ($2,775.00) to continue to operate their
business, buy materials for other jobs, and make payroll for employees who were
not working on our job
We agree with MrB[redacted] when he says they "missed the mark
on customer service" but he continues to refuse to provide anything other than
his "sincerest apologies" that the ball was dropped. While we appreciate his admission of poor
customer service and apologies, this does not provide an acceptable resolution
of our complaint, inconvenience, and loss of the use of our money for
weeks longer than the agreed upon timeline for fabrication and
installation of our porch railings and front door.
