Review: In July 2014, AAS Totterdale Above Average Services (doing business as Totterdale’s Concrete & Asphalt) installed exposed aggregate (concrete) sidewalks, stairs, porch and patio at our home. Within months of the project's completion, several transverse cracks developed in the concrete. I first spoke to Drew T[redacted] about this issue in early Spring. He claimed he was having health issues, but would resolve the issues after he felt better.
After about a month, I started making regular follow-up calls and left more than a dozen voicemail messages for Mr. Totterdale. All of these calls went unanswered. In July, I left a voicemail message saying that I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com if my issue remained unresolved. Mr. Totterdale called me within 24 hr. He apologized saying that he had been in [redacted] working on a large project, but would be back in Western Pennsylvania the following week and would come to my property to discuss my issues.
This was the last I heard from Mr. Totterdale. I left one final voicemail message three weeks after this call (2 weeks after he had promised to meet with me to address my issue).
The fact that several cracks running the width of a concrete slab developed within months of installation makes me question the quality of the product installed. The response or lack thereof given by Mr. Totterdale is unacceptable and is not consistent with the A+ Revdex.com rating of this business. I expected this issue to be resolved months ago and demand that it be resolved in the near future.Desired Settlement: Repair of the cracks in the concrete. This may require some areas of exposed aggregate to be removed and new aggregate poured.
