In October 2012, I was searching to refinance my house. I found Austin First Mortgage and started the process of refinancing my house because the representatives assured me that although they do charge their customer $395.00, once the refiancing is completed(the house is closed), that I will get the full refund of the fee. I had called many times and spoke to several different representatives, and all representatives assured me that I will get my full refund once the house is closed. Therefore, I let them charge $395.00 to my debit card on 10/12/2013 and I closed my house on 1/17/2013(I completed refinancing of my house). I waited and waited for the refund but no one ever contacted me with the refund. I started calling Austin First Mortgage in February and the representatives asked me whom I received help from including loan officers. I gave them all the names of the people involved with my refinancing case and they said the responsible person will call me to let me know.

I waited and waited after calling them many times. However, I received no calls or e-mails. I started to write e-mails on 4/01/2013, but it would often take days for them to reply to my e-mails. When the [redacted] was copied in the e-mails, she informed [redacted] promptly to request the refund repeatedly. Well, this is how [redacted] responded. She said she checked with Accounting Dept of her company and that the credit card charge was declined, so that her company never charged me with the application fee when they clearly charged me with the full amount. I sent her a shot of print screen of a wrong account to her and later correctly sent her a screen shot of their charge on my checking account. I still have not heard a word from them yet. It is so shocking to me that I have to prove to them that they charged me with the fee.

After after I sent them a screen shot my bank account being charged by them, they stopped talking to me. In addition, the way [redacted] wrote e-mails seems that she lacks professionalism and courtesy. I cannot believe that they would lie that my credit card was declined when they did charge me $395 on 10/12/2012. I asked in the e-mail to let me know which credit card of mine was declined as they claim but I never received an answer. I still have not heard from them after I sent them a screen shot of my $395 being charged from my online banking system. Still, there has not been any apologies or any refund. All they had to do with Accounting Dept was to search for my name in Oct 2012 to trace whether they charge me or not. Instead, they lied that they never charged me and, therefore, they claim that they owe me nothing. I am discussed with their mentality and attitude. This was a worst experience with any organization that involved money.

I still have not received my refund as of today, 4/25/2013. The Austin First Mortgage stopped communicating with me since 4/24/2013. Still, no apologies. No replies from them since I sent them a proof of their charge. [redacted] did open my e-mail on 4/24/2013 but no response..... but she was very quick to reply saying they don't owe me anything....

Wow, I am just shocked... speechless.... I need HELP to get my full refund.
