On June 9, 2016, Ms*** ***, came to our shop and asked for a vehicle inspectionUpon examining the vehicle, Ms*** was informed that the two front tires did not have enough tread wear to pass inspectionMs*** stated that she was in a hurry as she was driving to New York City,
she wanted tires right away and didn't want to spend a lot of moneyMs*** was advised that her vehicle, a *** ***, required a substantial tire because of the weight and wear width specified for that particular vehicleDespite the recommendation, she elected to go with a *** *** *** 245/40zii98W XL at a much lower price and wear abilityThe tires were installed on the vehicle and inspected on the same dayMs*** was charged $for each tire, $for the installation of the tires which includes balancing and disposal of the old tires, $for the NYS Inspection, and $for NYS tax for a total of $Ms*** paid $as she had been quoted $She told the auto tech to keep the $We had no subsequent contact with Ms*** until Monday, August 15, when she came to the shop at 10:AMShe walked directly into an unauthorized area of the garage instead of the office and started yelling at the business manager and the auto techsShe was shouting obscenities and threatened to slap one employeeHer behavior was such that the owner of the business directly across the street came over and asked if everything was okayTwo customers were also at our location and witnessed the incidentAfter she threatened one of our employees, she was told to leave the property or the police would be calledAs our shop has security cameras, Ms***'s verbal and physical actions are captured on cameraWe have had no further contact or conversations with Ms*** after the incidentA&B Auto Sales & Repairs, LLCdoes not stock many brands of tires; instead ordering the appropriate tire based on the vehicle and the customer's budgetWe try very hard to meet the request of the customerIn this case, the customer did not notify us of any problems until days after she purchased themThese tires have neither a manufacturer's or retail sale warrantyAdditionally, we were not given an opportunity to inspect the tires since she purchased them and have no idea how many miles they have been driven or if the vehicle was in any accidentMs*** paid a fair price for tires and services she chose and tailed to notify us of any problems in a timely mannerWhile we are certainly open to discussing any problems in a civil manner, we will not be subjected to physical threats or volatile actions at our place of businessAt this time, we prefer no further contact from Ms***Kovan AManager
