A.B. Burner Tune-Ups

It concerns me that the business owner is out cleaning, repairing, and working on installations for both oil and gas boilers/furnaces, but has been unlicensed for oil since 2018 and unlicensed for gas since 2008. Not even sure if he is insured.

On 7/26/2010, I requested a service call for my furnace through A.B. Burner Tune-ups & Service. The owner, [redacted], diagnosed the problem a needing a new replacement coil and also stated the he should probably do the tune up at the same time. He charged me $650 for the new coil. On 8/2/ 2010 my furnace once again required service, as it was doing the same thing as prior to Al Burns previous service call. This time he decided it was the fuel pump - and charged $154.00 for a new pump. Shortly thereafter, the same problem occurred, and the ignitor needed to be replaced. Today I had my annual furnace tune-up through another company, and was told that the coil had not been replaced, that he had simply painted the cover plate to make it look new. I doubt that I needed a new fuel pump, as diagnosed in the second visit, and I also have doubts that it was actually replaced.
