Please avoid cooperation / service with this irresponsible company.
Briefly, the company partially fixed my air condition unit in December, charged $ 228, and promised to come back to complete their job. For the last 6 months, I have called multiple times, left messages, .... every time I was informed that the issue would be resolved and they would call next day or in 2 days. This story continues for more than 6 months. Clearly, responsibility is out of the equation.

Review: I called the company to repair a leak coming from the a/c unit the company installed in the attic and was told there was a crack in the pan. The repair man glued the leak however during the course of the repair he cracked open the ceiling into the classroom below the attic causing damage to the ceiling. The repair man was apologetic and did make a notation on the receipt about the damage caused by the company. After several attempts to have the company come out and fix the damages I was told by the secretary that the owner would get back to me. This has gone on for months and no one has contacted me about repairing the damage to my ceiling. I think this is very unprofessional on the part of the business who never returned not one of my phone calls and this has gone on for months now. I would like the damage caused to be repaired as soon as possible.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to either hire a licensed contractor to repair the ceiling they cracked and damaged including the damage in the attic or reimburse me immediately after I contact my own licensed contractor to do the work based on his/her written estimate for the repairs.

Good Afternoon,

Review: I hired this company to install AC in my home during remodeling. The upstairs unit has required to be charged with gas each year for the past 3 years. This year again I called the company, they came and charged system, 2 weeks later the unit stopped cooling again. Called for service, dealer refuses to repair system without charging me money. The unit is under a 10 year warranty and was not installed properly from the first day. I was also promised a $1500.00 rebate by the dealer which was offered by the manufacturer and was never received. The system has a leak which is causing environmental impact and the lack of Air Conditioning has caused me health issues with my [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like the unit repaired or replaced as necessary. And to also warn other consumers of this dealers poor service before they are involved with issues like mine. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks for your time.

To Whom It May Concern,

In response to the complaint # [redacted].

A&B Heating installed [redacted]'s A/C systems in 2009. The job was completed in 2010. Numerous calls in advance and tries by A&B Heating to [redacted] to collect our balance of $1,000.00 have been refused. [redacted] still has a balance from the original contract which we can prove. A&B after installing the job and not collecting the balance As a courtesy to the customer we went back and warrantied parts and labor even though there is a balance of $1,000.00 left on the job which he has refused to pay.

A&B went back to the job and found that there was a refrigeration leak when we performed a nitrogen test. This was done in 2010. A&B removed the coil which was defective from the factory and installed a brand new coil. The coil date was 2011. A&B installed the coil and filled the system up with freon. After that job was completed we didn't hear from [redacted] all of 2012.

After numerous tries to collect the $1,000.00 balance we have yet to receive the balance from [redacted].

We CAN NOT offer a rebate to any customer who has not paid there balance in full on a completed job. A&B advised [redacted] that once he paid his balance in full then A&B would file his paperwork for a rebate. [redacted] has refused to pay the balance of $1,000.00 due to the issue with the coil. The issue with the coil was resolved and we have the paperwork to prove it.

We did not hear from [redacted] in 2012. His system is out of the labor warranty. Some of his parts are still covered by warranty but labor is not covered it is done.

[redacted] has refused to pay for a service call charge when he called A&B in 2013. We explained that he would have to pay the balance of his bill and also a service call charge. He would also be liable for additional charges if needed at the time of the service call if a thermoststat is required, if freon is required, if additional parts and labor are required to complete his service call and [redacted] has refused. [redacted] has also advised us that if A&B were to come to his home he would pay with a check and as soon as our technician left he would stop payment on the check.

We have tried to help this customer but we can not go out for a service call when he has not paid his balance on his original installation.

If you have any questions please feel free to call me at any time at ###-###-####.

Sincerly,

President

To Whom It May Concern,

In response to the complaint# [redacted].

A&B Heating and Air Conditioning has done everything to try to rectify any problems that [redacted] has experienced. We are now attaching the service call tickets to prove any services that were done at his home. As you can see from that attached tickets we have not been at [redacted]' s home since 2011. We have also not received the balance of the bill from the original install to date. We are unable to process a rebate until the final bill is paid. We have spoken to our distributor and they have agreed to go out and prove to [redacted] that the unit was not altered, patched up or used.

We would also like to address the pictures that [redacted] has posted to the site. In reviewing these pictures it looks like this unit was hit by Super Storm Sandy. There is debris and water marks on this unit that would have been caused by a storm. [redacted] has not contacted us prior to Super Storm Sandy about his unit. [redacted] is close to the Ocean and also close to [redacted] Lake which was highly affected by Super Storm Sandy.

In sending in all of the correspondence that we have for [redacted] I would hope that all of this information would close this Revdex.com claim that was filed against us and show that we have done everything we possibly could for this homeowner.

Sincerely,

Consumer
