Revdex.com spoke with the owner of the business who stated that he is licensed properly, but the business does not have insurance because they have not had any issues in the past for it to be necessary. He stated that the customer wanted him to do additional improvements other than painting, and he did...

more than he was contracted to do. He also stated that the floor had scratches prior to the work that he did, and that the reason the customer noticed them after the fact was because he had to move the refrigerator, and they became apparent once the refrigerator was moved. He stated that the paint job done previously was done poorly, and he should not be responsible for that. However, he stated that he is willing for the customer to have touch ups done, and that once the customer gets an estimate to have touch-ups, he asked that the estimate be sent and approved by him, and he will then compensate the customer by check.

Review: I hired Julio to paint my entire house. He came by twice to look at the walls in the home and all the imperfections. In the contract he states "Before painting we'll fix holes, cracks or imperfections on the ceiling and walls." That clearly was not done. They painted over nails, left drip marks, and instead of using painters tape, they allowed the the color on the walls to get on the white trim. The ceilings are bumpy and some are unpainted. They scratched my hardwood floors and when we pointed that factor out to them they responded, it was like that. Really because we had the house inspected before we purchased it and he took pictures of any and everything. There was no scratches near the refrigerator. He also got glue on the floor when he laid out the shoe molding. When I pointed it out he proceeded to attempt to scrape it off with a paint scraper. Again why would you do that to hardwood floors? The paint job is horrible and I asked him for his insure and he will not give me the information. I need to hire a new painter to fix his mistakes.Desired Settlement: I would like to know who he is insured by so I can get my money back. He claims he is licensed and insured. I just want the insurance information. I would like a refund so I can hire someone do the job properly.
