The folks at AB Plumbing are the BEST!!!! I have lived on the North Shore of Chicago for 50+ years. (Wilmette) I have never been happier with ANY Contractor in the area, than I was, and am with AB Plumbing. From the moment I emailed them, and they showed up at my door within 1 hour, to my interactions with the owner, Wally, to the professionalism of his crews, the courtesy they extended me, the cleanliness and timeliness, the quality of work and their value, Price wise.......they were just excellent in all areas.
My sewer line to the street was blocked and raw sewage was pouring out my driveway to the street. And it was the dead of winter!!! At first I hired some guy from the South side who was very reasonably priced, and ran a snake thru the line. It became apparent that something was very wrong, probably a break in the line.
I called 5 of the most reputable, best, most well know plumbers in the area (Wilmette,Winnetka and Evanston) and on price alone AB stood as a HUGE value in comparison. Little did I know how much piece of mind and value AB Plumbing provided!!!
I have had way to many repairs and interactions with contractors (especially on the North Shore) that have been terrible experiences. As fate would have it we did encounter a huge problem that was not initially diagnosed, There was not one but 2 separate beaks in the line. We had been quoted for 1 only. Obviously with a lot of jobs , there are things that just can't be seen until you get in there and open up everything. I was still tremendously upset. They could have said "this is our price, take it or we leave!" Wally and AB Plumbing didn't. I would have been left with an open sewer line and screwed. We negotiated a very fair price and they promptly and professionally finished the work and job. I know they saved me 50-70% if I had called someone else in to finish the work.
Finally, after the job was done they came by , on their own, and noticed the asphalt was sagging in the driveway. They came back and repaired/replaced the asphalt. NO CHARGE!
For once I got more than what I paid for and in in my opinion these guys are the BEST!!!!
Without reservation I would give AB Plumbing the highest rating possible in all categories, especially price. Do yourself a huge favor and give them a shot at your repair jobs. You will be happy you did!
