Review: Moving into our new four story home ** August 2014 movers broke off sprinkler system head on the 4th floor stairway flooding our new home. An individual name Steve D[redacted] arrived ** August 2014 to measure floor space for the instillation of laminate floors and upon seeing the damage stated that his company A & B Systems could do the tear - out of the saturated rugs, wallboard and handle the repair of our home. He also collected over a period of weeks $80,000.00 to restore the house prior to an insurance settlement. Work was started, supplies were purchased and over a period of months work dragged on. Workers sent by A & B were few and far between. Complaining only brought the response 'We'll have a crew there the beginning of the week. If someone ever showed up, it was usually one man who was usually worried about being paid. The home is 60% complete and needs to be completed. The Insurance adjuster and company authorized $84,000.00 for the repair and after meeting with our private adjuster, allocated an additional $10,000.00.The contractor has received a total of $94,000.00 from us and must finish the project. There has been on one on site since the week of April [redacted] 2015. We have had health issues resulting from living in the third floor two bedroom apartment, three adults and three dogs with no carpeting, with painting supplies stored in the bedrooms and closets. Dust from the sanding of walls was never cleaned as you go, covering furniture and clothing daily.Desired Settlement: Finish the job right away with no additional monies.
