I appreciate Mr*** rejects our conclusion but it is what our team foundIt very well may be coming from them, no one disputes that but also no one can conclude that there is anything operationally wrong with the CatsThey have been checked now multiple times and are functioning as designed per the diagnostic equipment results indicateOur two technicians that inspected the vehicle also said neither of them could hear the rattle unless door was open or they were outside the vehicle listening for it. We NEVER had the conversation about letting car cool down to check for exhaust leakFrom what we could tell there was not one and could see no indication of oneWe did not have at time of initial inspection, time of sale or time of re-inspection for Mr*** find any signs the vehicle was not operating as intendedThere is a rattle in the Cat Conv area - what that may be we don't knowAs for the vehicle being sold in described working order it wasIn the interest of nothing more than helping Mr *** out as I will agree to the followingretail cost to replace cats is approx$we would agree to do the job at our cost of approx$and split that amount with Mr *** - so his participation of $and we absorb the restHe will be on his own as for the exhaust leak we could not findthanks, John L***

Good Morning, I am writing back regarding the complaint belowI was personally involved in Mr*** visit as was my Service manager Jordan G*** and our lead Technician Tobias S*We took his vehicle into the shop, performed a computer scan of the emissions system verifying the proper
function of the oxygen sensors which verifies the proper function of the catalytic convertersThere was a rattle in one of the exhausts near the catalytic converters but it was verified that it was not affecting performance or emissions functions There was also the question of a leak in the exhaust manifold, we had multiple technicians using a stethoscope and a leak or any noise could not be detected. We brought Mr*** into the shop with all of us to verify to him our findings and that we had no interest in hiding anything from himIf there had been issues we would had taken care of themHe stated that at some point the catalytic converters could go out Must agree - true of any vehicle approaching 100,miles… no one can guestimate how long these will lastALL was in working order when the car was sold and when it came back to us for the complaint.I feel we have did everything necessary to ensure we sold a properly operating car that was operating as intended at time of complaint inspection. Thanks, John L***General Manager*** Integrity Toyota of Walla Walla***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]I feel that [redacted] Toyota should absorb all cost for parts and labor, but I'm willing to pay the $400 dollars to replace both Cats.  In regards of the exhaust leak and other issues with the car, I will take it somewhere else for repairs and pay for that as well.  Once this issue gets taken care of, [redacted] Toyota will never see me again for any other reason as I will never conduct any type of business with them.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Mr. John L[redacted] and everyone else that check the car agreed on the rattle/noise was coming from both catalytic converters not near them like he says on his response on the complaint.  it may not affect performance or emissions at this time but they are not normal.  About the leak in the exhaust manifold, there was more inspection needed to find it, like let the motor cool down completely and take parts out of the way listen to it once is cool down to be able to find it, which they did not want to do.  I agreed that use cars with high miles are going to have issues, but nothing major like that, specially when you buy from a big car dealer.  When someone pays full retail price for a vehicle is expected to be in excellent condition or with just minor issues.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Thursday November 12th we met with [redacted], Dealer Investor from Spokane.  We granted him access to all of our files and allowed him to interview any [redacted] employees he requested.  I am hoping to have a full report from him early next week.   [redacted]...

Review: When purchasing a new 2013 Toyota Rav-4, I also purchased a $670 Sealant for my new car to protect the finish. I was always "put off" when I went in to make arrangements to try to get the work done--I began that process within a month of the purchase--best guess is the last week of September. Then the dealership changed from [redacted] Toyota to McCurley Toyota (not sure when). I continued to request that my contract be honored over about 3-4 months time, beginning within a week or so after the new owners took over. First, the Business Manager ([redacted]) said that they would have to ask [redacted] if he would "honor it." I explained that I knew when purchasing a Business, one bought both their Assets and their Liabilities, and that they needed to honor my good-faith purchase. [redacted] did not follow up on my request like she said she would (the conversation concluded with me leaving my name and number). Over the next 2 months after that, I came into the Dealership twice, and [redacted] was always "busy for at least an hour." Then in June my car was a victim of hit-and-run, so that took 6 weeks for the Insurance to approve the work, and for the work to be completed. Today (7-28-14) I went back to the Dealership once again, and after being told [redacted] was "busy" again, I asked to speak to a Manager ([redacted]). He refused to honor my purchase, saying that I would have to contact [redacted] myself. I told him that was not what I was previously promised, and that it was not my responsibility to follow up on this. He then told me there was nothing they would do. I thanked him for his time, but as I left, I said I would follow up n this myself, and in my own way. I have used Revdex.com before to get the desired results when a Service or Contract is broken. I am doing this now again. Depending on the outcome of this complaint, I will take further action if necessary.Desired Settlement: Right now they have stolen $670 from my pocketbook. I want either a full refund because they are not willing to give me the service that they promised to me, or I want the Sealant work completed on my car.I DO have a very clear copy I can scan and send to you showing this purchase if you would like.

Greetings:

Review: My father and I bought a 2013 Toyota Carolla from this dealership on 10-3-15. On 10-16-15 my father went up to get his plates and registration and he ended up buying a 2016 Toyota Camry on this day in the afternoon. He had buyers remorse and the next day on Saturday we went into the dealership at 9:00 when they opened. My father had paid cash for both vehicles. He had to trade the 2013 Touota in but lacked my signature. When we went in we had to wait for the sales manager [redacted]. We were told they could not pull the paperwork as it was all done electronically. I told them it couldn't be done that way as I work where they process the paperwork. We were told to come back and talk to Robb Phipps the manager of the store on Monday at 10:30. We showed up and was told the same thing that they do everything electronically. I checked with Dept of Licensing and was told they could not do anything electronically. My father ended up trading in the new 2016 Toyota at a loss to buy back the 2013 Toyota Carolla at a big loss. We lost $5000 on the deal. The lying is what I think needs addressed.Desired Settlement: I feel they could have pulled the paperwork and returned my fathers check. The paperwork had gone no where and they lied telling me it had been filed electronically. My father paid them $12000 and is only getting back $7000 of it.
