November 9. 2015Dear [redacted] ,Monitor Data Corporation is contracted by the management at [redacted] House to monitor the gas usage and prepare the billing statements for all the tenants at this complex.The tenant is being charged for direct heat, indirect heat and the gas to heat the hot... water. I have enclosed an explanation of direct and indirect heat gas usage.The tenant is claiming she is being charged double the [redacted] gas price of S.45000. The [redacted] price to compare is S.451880 and the basic gas supply charge is $.309865. The total [redacted] price is $.761745. The tenant is being charged the pass thru price of $.7300 which is the price charged to the complex.The tenant also claims she is being charged for the hours of heat used not the actual units of gas used. The hours of heat are converted to CCF's of gas use. I have enclosed of copy of her last heat bill which shows the conversion. She was billed for 26.8 CCF's of gas for 140.8 hours of heat use.The indirect heat is a shared charge and is billed according to how many feet offin tube are in the radiators. The gas to heat the hot water is also a shared charge and is billed according to the total occupants in each unit not the size of the unit.The management at [redacted] House has made the decision to cap the gas charges billed for each unit. Studio apartments are capped at $35.00, one bedroom apartments are capped at $50.00 and two bedrooms are capped at $65.00.
