short while after she returned with a 20% off color service coupon, which must be presented at time of payment (this would have been worth $12 off her color service). This is a coupon that is only available at the nearby [redacted] and we require its presentation at time of service to prevent customers from obtaining the coupon after the fact and bringing it in. According to the customer’s complaint, she mentioned the coupon when she came in and forgot to present it at time of payment, which is why she returned. My manager explained the policy to her and even called me as I was not in the salon at the time – I was never made aware that the coupon was presented when she walked in. Had I known, of course we would have honored the coupon (I have since gone over this with my staff). Knowing the guest was upset I called her, spoke with her and told her that we would give her 20% off plus complimentary color protect shampoo (a $23.00 value) when she comes in next. (The color offer expires 5/31 so there is value to this.) The customer did not seem upset with what I offered her but expressed doubt that we would actually make a note in the POS system and honor it next time. I assured her that I would personally enter the information and that, yes, we would honor it. As the owner I guaranteed it. When the note was entered into the POS on 4/9/16 I called the customer and left a voice mail to let her know that it had been entered into the POS system as this is what seemed to be of major concern and thought the matter was over.
My business is 100% based on a customer’s positive experience. I’m sorry that the customer seems to doubt my integrity and intention. To resolve the matter, if the customer is willing to return, I would like to offer the customer a complementary color service.

The guest's complaint about me calling her a liar and scammer are completely false. I submitted my response and my version of what happened; I had a cordial conversation with the guest on 4/9 and thought the matter resolved at that time. I have since offered complementary service to this guest.  At this point I feel that the guest is attempting to blemish my business reputation as she is calling me unethical and a scammer - I have never had a policy regarding "no refunds" as she claims. I have tried to resolve the issue nd I thought that offering her a greater value than the $12 in dispute would be of more value to her. The complementary service that I offered can range from $35 to over $75. The 20% discount on her $60 color color is $12.00. If she wants to come into the salon to retrieve her $12 it will be in in the cash register for her until May 27th giving her 2 weeks to come in. The coupon is only valid on the color service not on the blow out/style and not for the ticket price. I am attaching a copy of the coupon artwork - please note that only the color coupon was applied.
