Review: On December 31 2013 I was locked out of my garage due to a power outage in my neighborhood. I called Abba Locksmith from an ad in the local phone book. After speaking with [redacted] he agreed he could come out and open the garage door by making a key for the manual lock to unlatch the door from the opener and the price would be $100.00. When he arrived I already thought I might be in trouble as he was in an old pickup truck with stuff strewn in the back...not an organized repair truck with locksmith tools. [redacted] proceeded to attempt to pick the lock with a screw driver and pick for several minutes...then he broke the lock off. Amazingly even after causing this damage he then wanted his $100.00 for his service call. I am still locked out of the garage and now the lock is permantly broken and he wants his money to leave...at this time he also informs me he only takes cash! I offered him a check and [redacted] then takes the broken lock and says he will repair it and bring me 2 keys back for the lock in a couple days. I trusted him to at least do that much...of course [redacted] ran to my local bank immedialty and cashed the check. He has not shown up with my lock or the keys. When I called him he now says he is only willing to bring the broken lock back but doesn't know when and he can't make keys for it. When asked where I could even purchase a new lock he says...I don;t know...call a garage door company and hangs up on me. I also have filed a complaint with our association newletter to warn other resi[redacted]ts to not use this locksmith.Desired Settlement: My thoughts are Abba Locksmith should have at least finshed the job by repairing my now broken lock caused by him and making me the keys I paid for. However...after dealing with this guy and seeing his lack of skills I would prefer a refund and I will hire someone competent.

December 31, 2013 Mr [redacted] received a locksmith service. He was charged $50 service call $50 to open lock to get in garage. We were unable to provide him with the lock & cable as it shattered when picked. Attached is signed receipt that the garage was opened. 3/14 when received your complaint we called Mr [redacted] and we are going to provide a new lock, install at his convenience

Called customer 3/16, 3/17, 3/18 to install lock & he does not answer phone 714 653 0754. left message by me 3/18/14 ( annette bea). 5 pm 3/18/2014 returned & installed new lock. Customer satisfied attached 2 work orders invoices showing work done & signed for.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. We made arragements for them to come back out and for an extra fee of $75.00 in cash install a new lock, provide keys and they did that to my satisfaction.
