At the beginning of March 2014 the Chevy truck referred to in the complaint was brought to my shop located at 4218 US HWY...

64 West Asheboro NC 27205. My name is Tony D[redacted]. In the complaint a Tony D** was mention and I do not know a Tony D** !!! As with any project we agree to do we give estimated time like ( I will do my best to have the work completed in such or such time) and we always absolutely do our best. Unless I myself and a client both sign a agreement on start to finish date. I do my best to do a quality job in as best time frame as I can. As with any business things can occur to shift things off schedule , like jobs scheduled before a new project is dropped off. In that case we usually let our client know. The Chevy truck in this matter was brought to my shop on 3 separate occasions. Again we always tell clients where we stand as far as being on or off schedule. The client came to pick up the truck was happy and satisfied. I received a call from the owner a little over a month from what I remember. The owner stated that there was a problem with the headliner and door panels. In reference to the door panels. The door panels were in bad shape. The owner did not want the door panels rebuilt. I did what I was asked to do. was pretty much rotten. I do not recall the owner asking for pins to be replacedi stapled it. As far as the door panel being sewn the vinyl was sewn together. but you can not sew vinyl onto a door frame. We have expensive industrial machines and I have upholstered thousands of door panels the same way with out a complaint. As far as the rolling up of the vinyl it was glued with industrial glue. The last time the truck returned to my shop was on July the 27th of 2016. When Mr [redacted] called me and asked if he could bring the truck it had been over 2 years since the start of the project. Mr [redacted] was supposed to return the truck long, long before he did, to repair the items I said I would. they were unhappy about. So there was a very long time gap that the truck was not returned. I do not know many companies after such a long time frame that would still honor a repair but we do keep our word so we told Mr [redacted] yes he could bring it. This job process started in the begging of March of 2014 and was not returned until July of 2016. I understand wanting the items fixed but it was over a year before Mr [redacted] contacted me again about the items being fixed. And in July of 2016 when he did bring it back as I stated before I did not know when I could stat on it and he would have to be patient. When Mr [redacted] and asked if he could bring the truck I told Mr [redacted] that he could go ahead and bring the truck BUT I had NO idea when I would be able to start on it. This was made very clear before the truck was brought to my shop. On the matter of Ms [redacted] wife calling my shop and informing my wife she would be there Thursday to pick the truck up finished and stated that should be ample time to finish it. First let me state that both Mr & Mr [redacted] came by my shop first thing Monday morning Mr [redacted] nor Ms [redacted] did not come in they pulled up, Mr [redacted] got out looked inside and a few minutes later he calls my shop and states that he saw where we had taken the door panels off, (my wife stated to him that she saw him out side) and asked my wife if she knew when he would be finished and told him no but that we were getting started on it. a few minutes later Ms [redacted] calls the shop tells wife to tell me that she would be there Thursday to pick the truck up finished my wife gave me the message I called Ms [redacted] and told her that I could not guarantee the truck would be finished by Thursday but I had caught up to a point to where we had started on it. Ms [redacted] was loud and demanding and said that she was coming to get the truck right now !!! I did not tell Ms [redacted] to come and get the truck she said she was coming and I told her that if that was what she chose to do them she should. She stated to me that we never intended to fix the truck but we the receipts dated for the material and supplies to do so. And long before we actually were able to start the work. We had started the process of the work which means you are requires to disassemble so that is why the door panels and other interior piece were not in place. She said she was on her way, what was I supposed to do respectfully!!! During our conversation the call was disconnected and when she called back she was speaking to someone else and stated he is gonna wish he had of fixed that truck.I never did not intend to fix Mr [redacted] truck. I never refused to fix the truck. I have never in 28 years refused to fix a vehicle, and I do stand by my work. I do apologize for the time frame sincerely. If the truck had not been picked up it would have been repaired that week. I have never had a complaint against me. I have thousands of references . I also have 3 witnesses in my shop the day Ms [redacted] came and picked the truck up. When Mr [redacted] brought his truck to me I gave him a price which was under the price scale already, he asked me a couple more time if I could drop the cost some more and I did. My choice. A little research will show you that for a head liner, door panels the seats to be completely reupholstered and the carpet and dash to both be dyed and for $700.00 is absolute steal in this industry. A few days after Ms [redacted] came and picked up the truck Mr [redacted] called and spoke with my wife and she told me what he said I called him back and we came to agreement and then about a week later we receive the notice of complaint. I spoke to Mr [redacted] and we have made a agreement that he will have the truck dropped off at my shop on Friday October the 9th, 2016 and it will be completed by Sunday the 11th of October 2016. We completely blocked out that time to do so. And Mr [redacted] agreed that his wife would contact the Revdex.com to inform them that we have come to a agreement and the complaint would be removed once the work has been completed. Thank you respectfully !!!
