the fee paid was a fee and not a deposit as it is listed on the leaseOur company does not do deposits at our communities and this is not something we could be able to changeRegarding electrical inspections at our communities this is not something which would be discussed in this mannerPlease note though that if we had a concern with one of our residents apartments we would ensure to work with them to ensure both parties were agreementWe apologize for any inconvience in this matter

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Abble Awning did return to attempt to correct the problem as I said from the beginning but it has never been resolved. We have photos to prove that the leak is coming directly from under the track not from 12” below under the siding. As to the video they say they shot which showed that it was coming from under the siding we have never seen this video and we invite them to produce it.  As we have not seen it. From the beginning of the install things were not done properly according to the workers who returned to correct it.They gave us a 10 year warranty on workmanship and materials that they are not honoring. This is why we have written to you in attempt for them to correct the problem. We have also identified to them and the workers that the frame structure attached to the house is loose and rattling but hey deny this is true. Here are the pictures of the leaks from the awning.

Good morning [redacted]. We sold a complete patio style awning to [redacted] last summer. They had no awning at the time. We installed a 33-0 patio style awning. At the top of the awning where we start the frame work we put a aluminum track which gets mounted underneath the lip of the siding...

which all the rafters attach to. They are saying my track is leaking which there is a leak But it is not coming from my track at all. They never had a molding going across there house so when it rains you can't tell where water is coming , So when you  put an object across like we did now it appears it is coming from my track. but in all reality it is not. We sealed the track. The Mulveys called and we went on a few occasions to reseal the molding to which it still had a leak. The leak is not coming from my track at all, as a matter of fact it is coming from below the track, about 12 to 14 inches below. Once again they placed a call to us to which I sent my crew back and this time we sealed the track from underneath which we NEVER have to do but we did it anyway. Again they called and we went back and showed [redacted] that the water is below my track and we ran our fingers under the track which is dry, but in the areas I mentioned below behind the siding it was leaking which we shot a video of to show them. When you push in with you fingers in that area water drips right out from behind the siding. If you need it please ask and I will forward the video to you. Bottom line is they never new water was coming from that area mentioned because when it rains it is running down the whole wall when there was no awning. What I would like you to do is have a window and siding company who is impartial look at it. I know many people in the trade who totally agree with me that the original area of water was coming from where we installed the molding but from a different area than where they are claiming. I'M sorry they have this problem but it is not my fault.  Thank You [redacted]

Review: The awning and stanchions over the back porch were some of the casualties of Sandy which we are in the process of repairing and replacing. The damaged section of the roof had been repaired in a timely fashion, so we contacted Abble Awning on June *. 2013 to replace the damaged stationary awning. The salesman, [redacted], took measurements and wrote up a contract and received a $775 deposit on a $2375 job which was to be completed "by 2nd week of July". Did not happen. July came and went, Phone calls to the company were useless because they were so busy, Finally on August *, two workers showed up to install our awning, but neglected to install the upper sections that meet the roof. They said they would come back on Monday, August ** to install the missing panels, but they had to be paid in full first. I gave them a check for $1600 under the assumption that they were going to return and finish the job They were not able to give a receipt. No show on Monday. I called Abble on Tuesday and spoke to [redacted] who said they had the missing sections on the truck and an envelope, and they would be installing them that afternoon. No show again, but it did rain and everything under the new awning got soaked as

if there was no awning at all. Another call to [redacted] and his assurance that the awning will stop leaking and the missing pieces will be installed tomorrow (Wednesday). Again no show. Another call to Abble on Thursday Aug.**. They are now so sick of hearing from me that they finally send a worker who installs the missing skirt to the roof and he left without saying a word. No receipt. The upper mounting panel was not replaced, and still had the original awning fabric, Still another call to Abble. [redacted] said he would mail out the receipt "right now" and would replace the missing panel when they take the awning down in the fall. It is now four days later, I still have not received any receipt to give the insurance company, and with their track record with the Revdex.com (grade F -I found out after the fact) I have a feeling that they are not men of their words and I may be filing another complaint in the fall if they still fail to complete the jobDesired Settlement: I would like a written receipt for $2375 dated August *, and the upper mounting panel covered with awning fabric to match the rest of the awning

At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding Abble Awning Co. Inc has been resolved.

Review: My awning is installed and taken down seasonally by Abble Awning and stored at their facility. It was just installed 5/**/2014 for this summer season. When I looked it over after the install, I found MANY cocoons have grown through out the awning pieces that hang by the poles (4) and they were installed incorrectly. I was able to correct the install on 3, but a 4th one is not cut correctly for me to correct that problem. However, the bigger issue are the cocoons that formed while being stored at their facility. When I called to complain, they said the cocoons must have been there when they took the awning down last year. I responded that that is impossible because of my fear of bugs, I always make sure there is nothing like that located anywhere where I am. I am outside on my deck every day and I am always inspecting the area, again, due to my fear of bugs. So Logically, they would not have been there, when they took down the awning. My husband is constantly making sure any webs, or growth is removed. These cocoons had to have formed in their facility where they are stored. They refuse to own that, and kept shifting the blame back to us. [redacted] [[redacted]], his sister and his mother are all EXTREMELY NASTY & IGNORANT to how they should be treating the customer. Another problem annually is no matter how far in advance you schedule the install, they never stick to the schedule. They are extremely unreliable, always with some excuse. [redacted] does NOT want to pay to have enough installers to keep the consumers happy. THIS IS A VERY POORLY RUN & UNRELIABLE BUSINESSDesired Settlement: I want the 4th pole awning reinstalled the correct way. I want them to admit the cocoons formed in their care with an apology for shifting the blame to me, the CUSTOMER.

Response:

Cocoons were not in her drapes because of my shop. We have a well heated shop and and air conditioned in the summer. It could have been something in the air that did not show itself while they were up but could have grown while in my shop not because of my shop. I will send somebody to fix the drape as customer states but as far as an apology no way. Nobody accused her of the cocoons we just stated that these awnings are outside in all kinds of weather and dampness and could have been forming while they were still outside. She accused us of this happening in my shop with no proof. These cocoon formations happen on all kinds of surfaces. Nobody ever said she put these cocoons on her awning. She stated in her original complaint that she always has her husband check for anything on the awning. You find these little cocoons in other parts of the outside of houses. This is not something that my shop caused in any way, shape or form and neither did she cause it just happened.

Thank you for your consideration into this matter.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The business' response does not address the rudeness with which they handled this situation. I felt extrememly disrespected when dealing with them. The writer clearly stated to me that those cocoons were probably there when they took down the awning. That is the statement that started this all. THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY NOT THERE when they took down the awning. If they believed the cocoons did not form while in their storage facility, they could have communicated that in a more respectful, less defensive way. That said, I still believe they did form in their care because they were NOT there previously. Irrespective, the apology should be for the way he and his staff spoke to me. Either way, they do NOT handle their business in a customer-friendly, efficient or reliable way.
