Review: On 11/14/2015 I purchased and paid in full with cash payment for 1 used dryer and 1 Electric stackable washer and dryer. I explained to the girl at the counter that the home was sold and due to close in a few weeks so I need to be sure the appliances worked and she assured me that I had a 30 day warranty. She did not explain that I could not return the merchandise. Once I paid and received a receipt I see that she wrote exchanges only. I did not see that until after the problem occurred. On 11/16/2015 the appliances where delivered and they were given my appliances in exchange. There was an LG front loader set which was only 2 years old and the washer was in perfect working order and the dryer needed a new drum. The other dryer was a Cabrio Steam dryer and it was not giving off heat. On 11/18/2015 I went upstairs to test the stackable washer/dryer and I started a load of wash and went back downstairs. Almost an hour later I went upstairs and the washer was still filling and had flooded the floor and the carpet and leaked into the walls downstairs and the tape and spackle was all buckled so we had to run fans and dry out everything and then repaint. My husband called and they offered an exchange and came the next day to pick up the stackable and there was no replacement being given. I decided to skip the delivery person and go directly to the store to resolve. When I got there the woman at the counter called her husband and put him on the phone and he was very nasty and told me he did not have one to replace it with. I said ok then issue me a refund or at the very least give me back the LG washer and I will credit the buyers of my home for a dryer. He refused to refund me and would not give me back my washer either. I did not even ask for money for the damage to my home. This was very disappointing to say the least and I would like my money refunded in the amount of $300.00 that I paid in cash for the unit he now has.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund because he did not have a unit to replace it with and in addition I would like to point out that I feel it is very reasonable since I did not ask for damages since we were able to do the repairs ourselves and it did not cost us money. This is a very reasonable due to the inconvenience and stress due to the way I was treated.

Review: We bought a refurbished dryer for $150 but the motor was bad. They said they would order a new one and put it in for $75. They gave us the run around for three weeks and just flat hung up on us yesterday when we called to see when they could come out. They said they never got the part. To have someone else replace the motor will cost $250.Desired Settlement: Refund the purchase price of $150

Review: On January 14,,2016 I Ordered, From Abbots, On Line, a part for my [redacted] dryer. The cost was $117.70. Abbots did not have the part in stock and stated to me that it will be ordered and delivered to my Home within 2 Business Days. Abbots debited $117.70 from My Bank Account. I never received the part and was forced to go to another supplier and had the part delivered overnight from the new supplier. I have contacted Abbots numerous times for a refund and have been told by an Abbots Employee the money will be put back in my Account. It is now February 23, 2016 and the money is still not refunded to my Account. I have spoken to a Female Employee of Abbots numerous times and am told every time that I should" give it a couple Days and the money will be there" This is obviously not true.Desired Settlement: I would like Abbots Appliance to give me my $117.70 back to my Account.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: Business was called to fix freezer Worker came inspected problem and said I needed a new compressor. Called boss and he told me it would cost me $1,700 cash (so not to pay tax) I asked if this would fix problem and I was assured it would work. $850 given as a deposit for parts. A week later a repairman came, installed compressor and it did not work The repairman demanded the remainder of the cash and said he could not leave without it.The mechanic and the owner blamed me for not telling them the freezer was broken for more then a year and was unfixable. Multiple calls to he business remained unanswered and the owner told the repairman I was out of luck. I called another repairshop who sent a technician over and he was able to repair the problem in 1 hour with no additional parts except some copper tubing. I scovered the compressor cost $300, I called Abbott today assking for my cash back as they could not fix a fixable appliance which cost me more to get fixed. They are unscrupulous in their business dealings with the public and the IRS and should have their license revoked. Looking on line their are other complaints similiar to mineDesired Settlement: $ 1300 (will pay for compressor)

Review: 12-30-2013 Talked to [redacted] at Abbott's explained my dryer was not working, and we verified the Part Number, then she put the part on order, and she said the part would come in within two weeks. [redacted] informed me that I would be contacted when the part is received. Jan 22, 2014 I called and talked to [redacted] and she said that she would return my call once she got statut on the part, I never received the call. Jan 27, 2014 I called Abbott and left message on the answering machine, I called again at 1439, but no one picked up the phone. 1-30-2014 I called and left a message on the answering machine. 1-31-2014 stopped by Abbott's [redacted] said the part had an estimated Delivery date of 8 April 2014, she informed me, I could cancel the part. I told her I would think about it for a week and then I would make my decision. I called Feb 13,2014 and left a message on the answering machine that I wanted to cancel the part. I waited another couple of weeks, and I did not get a response. Feb 25, 2014 I stopped by Abbot's and [redacted] informed me that all refunds are handled through an accounting service and that all refunds are processed the first week of the month. I checked my credit card statement March 1 through March 10, 2014 a refund had not been credited to my credit card. I stopped by abbot's again and spoke to [redacted], her supervisor was their and he asked her if the part was canceled, and [redacted] said it was. Her Supervisor said that the credit card machine has to be in the positive before they could issue me a refund. [redacted] said the young lady that take care of refunds does not come in very often , but it would be taken care of that afternoon and I could call back to make sure it was done. I called yesterday 17 March 2014 the supervisor answered the phone and said [redacted] wasn't their and she wouldn't be there for another half hour and hung up the phone. He did not want to hear what I had to say even though I explained the situation again to him. [redacted] never called back.Desired Settlement: I just want a refund on my credit card. I have 15 years of accounting and purchasing background with the military. I know they are not telling me the truth, If they had a no refund policy they should have told me before I bought the part.
