Abbott Hearing Centers Reviews (1)

Review: I want a receipt for $100 that I paid for. I want it because I need to show how bad my hearing is when I go for a selection on jury duty. [redacted], the ignorant person said that she doesn't want to be responsible for me having a receipt for jury duty. How are they responsible? I paid for it, I need a receipt with a LETTERHEAD showing their business, not a paper with X's and O's showing the test results with no letterhead attached. I think she is disturbed because she didn't make a sale of $6000 for a hearing aid that I was supposedly needing. I hope the company fires her when they receive this letter. She also threatened me with the police when all I wanted was a receipt. If I don't get my money back, I intend to take them to small claims court to get my money back. I gave her the money because of all the work she did with my testing, with no sale. I felt sorry for her work with me with no results for a sale. She said go to my doctor to get a test. Why should I do that when I gave her $100 in good faith. I should at least deserve the courtesy of a receipt of my testing for my hearing. I did pay for that. I want that receipt.Desired Settlement: $100

Response:

I am not completely clear on what the customer is asking for. He never paid for a hearing test. He paid a $500.00 deposited to try hearing aids for 2 weeks ( I can provide a copy the signed agreement). As agreed upon, we refunded customer the entire $500.00, though he had the aids for 4 weeks. At that time, customer gave me $100.00 as a "tip" for all of the work we had done,as he stated in complaint "to be nice". This is all documented in our notes. We will refund the customer $100.00 in a check to be mailed to his home by Dec. 31st.

As the owner of Abbott Hearing Centers and a licensed professional in the state of AZ for over 21 years, I have never encountered an individual as aggressive and threatening as this individual. patients were fearful, as was my staff. This is when I asked him to leave and he became even more threatening. At this point , I instructed my assistant to call the police. I refuse to allow him back to our offices and we are happy that he get service elsewhere.
