LOVED THE STAFF AND SERVICE AT ABBOTT's BRIDAL!!!! *** went above and beyond for me when trying on dresses. However, their policy on cancellation is ridiculous. Their contract states once dress is "ordered", no refund is permitted. Within 24 hours, I called to see if the order had been placed, and I was told the dress had NOT been ordered yet. Thus. the contract for no refund "once dress is ordered" is null and void. The owner, who REFUSED to talk with me, wanted to charge me 25% of my total for "credit card processing fees". Credit card processing fees are a MAXIMUM of 6%, and that is generous. I argued that this number was fabricated to keep me as a customer there and/or simply make money off of me. Additionally, no where in the contract was this "service fee" stated. The service charge was completely fabricated to keep my money and/or have me come back. I was told abbott's bridal was "bending the rules for me", no rules were ever broken, the contract was not breached because the dress was never ordered, per their contract! Their *** worked diligently as the middle woman trying to get me a refund, however, the owner settled on charging me $200.00, even though the contract was not broken, and there was absolutely no mention of said service charge in the contract that I signed. I reported them to Revdex.com and hope to have a full refund. other boutiques allow a grace period to cancel, purchasing a car/house has a grace period. Again, the service was outstanding, but the way the owner handled their business and their contract was completely unprofessional and abbott's should be ashamed for charging me $200 when I in no way, breached contract.

Abbott’s Bridal is writing in response to the complaint received from the customer about wanting a full refund. We did not give this customer a full refund because our purchase agreement firmly states in paragraph 2.) There are no refunds reimbursements or exchanges. Our customer called a day after purchasing to see if her dress was ordered because she was second guessing her choice. We were in the process of ordering and held off on her order due to her expressing concerns. The customer asked if she could come in the following day (Tuesday March 5th ) to try on her two favorites and make her final decision. Later that evening she called back needing to change her appointment time as well as wondering about her refund for the dress. *** the General Manager expressed to her that we do not refund you what you paid; we would apply what you paid towards a new dress if you end up going that route. This is when the story changed and that she did not want to come to Abbott’s any longer due to distance of traveling and would like a full refund. This was not an issue for the customer to shop with us on Friday February 1st and come back on Sunday the 3rd to purchase her dress. Unfortunately doing a full refund is not an option we stopped the order to make our customer happy, and have the opportunity to come back and re-try her favorites and find the right dress. Abbott’s cannot stop the processing of the charge when it happened on Sunday March 3rd and the call for a refund was made on Tuesday March 5th. We tried to get the customer to come back into the store to revisit her options and make sure she wouldn’t be losing out on any money. She was very persistent on wanting a full refund. Abbott’s will be charged from the credit card company from the purchase on March 3rd and refund from March 5th and agreed that she would be responsible for a $200 processing fee. She was not happy with this, however explained that she understood since her card was already processed and all sales are final. Please see the attached purchase agreement that was signed by our customer on March 3rd. We would also ask that this terminate any current or future professional relationship between ***nd Abbott’s Bridal and Formalwear. *** General Manager Abbott’s Bridal & Formalwear
