The vehicle is a Ford pickup truckWhen bought it had miles on it and the $included tax and transfer fees and sold as isThe buyer came up with his dad and took it out for a drive and decided to buy itWhen we traded it in the truck had miles on itOur salesman Charlie
drove the vehicle to go hunting etcmiles were put on the vehicle while we owned itIt drove fine for Charlie considering it is a year old truckWhen Luke and his dad came by for there plates he complained about the battery not being newWe thought if it needed one we would put it in and in fact did order oneI offered to pay Luke for the battery he had to put in my thinking we bought one anyway and could send it backLuke said no and complained about the trucks operating conditionI said we don't do refunds but he could trade it back inWe did not have a vehicle in the price range at the timeI also said he could get it to our service shop and we would look at the issues and give him an estimate to make corrections he wanted doneTo that I was told no thanksNo doubt they live a distance away but that is the best I can offerNo we won't pay for repairs on a year old truck sold as isThe offer to look at this at our shop standsWe will need a service ticket signed by Luke or we won't look at itAny work he wants done will be at a reduced price because of our wholesale availability on parts and actual cost of labor verses other shop labor ratesThe truck is what it is and as old as it is things can breakNeedless to say even new vehicles can develop issues but have factory warrantySo in closing, the offer to look at the truck and do what the customer wants done at a reduced cost is the only offer we will makeI will add that the cost of the battery we spent that didn't make it in the truck could still be mailed to the customer

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/10/06) */
Response received via fax to Revdex.com. Scan is attached; text of letter reads as follows:
"RE: Case #[redacted]
To whom it may concern:
I am sorry it took this long to respond. My 33 year old son passed away on Sept 21st so the...

last several days were as you may imagine.
[redacted] and ABC had several e-mails concerning her vehicle issues, the car was bought as is.
When [redacted] went for service she did not call us first. The shop she used charged over twice what we could have done this for so she would have saved over $400.00 our bill would have been less than she is asking us to pay.
I asked for a reasonable offer $400.00 is not reasonable. Some shops over sell service and parts -- we do not.
Again, I will ask for a reasonable offer we may consider --
Thank you,
Paul [redacted]"
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2015/10/06) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I had asked them for $4oo but if he wants to cut me a check for $350 I will go for that but I will no longer do any service with them since I was told on the phone that they inspect all the vehicles before they sell them and also the shop I had do the work on my jeep also told me of other things that will need to be repaired before to long
Final Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2015/10/20) */
Received follow-up response from business via fax to Revdex.com.
Scan of original is attached, including copies of purchase documentation, Buyer's Guide, e-mail correspondence.
Text of cover letter reads as follows:
"RE: [redacted]
Case #[redacted]
To Whom It may concern:
The vehicle was purchased AS-IS. All copies are enclosed along with emails between [redacted] and ABC Auto Brokers.
The law on as is and repairs after the fact create issues as well. It is not reasonable of [redacted] to expect ABC to pay even $350.00 when we were never contacted prior to her repair issues. We have our own shop and can do repairs at much lower costs. Again, we were not given an opportunity.
To be told by [redacted] she will never do business here again or send anyone here is not a great incentive to be helpful on this matter.
The bottom line is [redacted] paid to much elsewhere for the work, What ABC will do is offer [redacted] $200.00, half of our cost to do the same work, Had she come here first odds are she would have been happy to have one a $200.00 bill instead of the $800.00 she paid.
This offer is based on the face we clearly agree we are not implying additional warranty that the same remains AS-IS.
The offer is a good faith promotional offer we consider advertising and nothing else.
Thank you,
Paul [redacted]"
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 17, 2015/10/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
yes I will take the $200 but I will never refer any body to that company since they had lied to me on the phone that they check things over before they sell a vehicle

I am rejecting this response because: Any other actual dealership takes care of their customers to make sure they are satisfied. Not lied to about the operating conditions of a vehicle. If this is actually how they can operate I'm gonna open up my piggy bank and start selling shady cars and offering to fix em at a "Reduced Cost". So now that 2500 dollar pickup now turned into a 3-3500 dollar pickup. Win win for you guys no matter what. Your only offer to make it right is to pay me back for the "new" battery that you guys had in there. The battery was from 2009. That's not making it right at all that's just putting a band aid over the whole situation. Of course you should pay for that battery cause it was supposed to be in there. But that's not all I'm settling for.

The response was faxed to ###-###-#### , 1-17-18  Thank you. Revdex.com NOTE: Scan of fax is attached; text of letter reads as follows: "As a member of the Revdex.com, we are dedicated to providing customers with the best experience possible and are proud of our record to date with the Revdex.com. Over...

the years, we have had disagreements with customers over different issues and can usually come to some form of agreement. This situation is unique. The complainant, [redacted], is simply lying about the course of events in regards to her vehicle issues as well as the timeline / manner of interactions with ABC Auto Brokers. Since receiving correspondence from the Revdex.com, we have been gathering information to bring actual facts to light regarding this issue. We have text message records as well as correspondence with the AUL warranty company in regards to the issue at hand. When ABC was initially contacted on Oct. 3 2017 regarding the issue with the 2008 Saturn Vue, there was initial miscommunication in regards to getting the vehicle out to our repair facility. As the symptoms were described to me, Kenny [redacted], it seemed as if a brake had seized. Via text messaging after our regular business hours on my day off (which I have included transcripts of), [redacted] was informed that we needed to get the car inspected at our facility to figure out what the failure was and if it will fall under covered items under terms of the service contract as displayed via submitted text messages. The next day, Oct. 4 2017 [redacted] asked for the address to our repair shop and indicated that she was having the vehicle towed to us. We did not hear from [redacted] again until Nov. 27 2017 when the Saturn seemingly had the same issue again and was disabled, at which point I was told by [redacted] that the transmission had failed and the local Cenex repair shop did not work on transmissions. Since [redacted] was busy at work, I (Kenny [redacted]) under [redacted]'s direction contacted the road side assistance company and had the vehicle picked up from the Cenex station and brought to our repair facility, so we could finally inspect the vehicle. This was the second time the Saturn Vue was at Cenex. In talking with [redacted] Over the phone we were told that Cenex had previously inspected the the vehicle,. found nothing wrong, and told her to drive the vehicle. This is what led to [redacted]'s Revdex.com description of having driven the vehicle a short distance and the vehicle again breaking down. ABC never got the vehicle brought to our repair facility until 11-27-2017, almost two months after being initially contacted that there was a problem. Furthermore, the warranty company NEVER stated that the failure was caused by a previous accident as stated by the complainant. AUL stated, on 11-27-2017, that there was nothing worth noting in the car-fax report as stated in the report that we are enclosing. We repaired a relatively small dent in the top of the front right quarter panel of the Saturn after point of purchase. The purchaser didn't notice it, it was just something I wanted to take care of for her.As the month of December continued on, we were contacted by [redacted], her friend [redacted], and another anonymous female numerous times as to the progress of the vehicle. [redacted] was aware that the warranty company was not covering the damage. [redacted] and her friend [redacted] were at ABC Auto in December, and requested that the car be repaired and they were in fact told what it would cost. After the vehicle was repaired (at a discount), We (ABC) were then confronted with the fact that [redacted] did not want to pay for the repair. Her friend [redacted] tried negotiating a lower price, but we notified him that we weren't billing her for the full labor hours already effectively giving her a discount. ABC Auto Brokers incurred the cost of the replacement parts and fluids, ABC paid labor and attributable employments taxes to the employee that worked on the Saturn, we also incurred a loss in productivity due to the fact that we worked on a vehicle and were never paid for the services. There was plenty of other work on other vehicles that could have been done during that same times period.ABC Auto Brokers holds the Revdex.com in the highest of regards, we always have and always will do our very best to help customers in their time of need. We feel it is unfair that the Revdex.com is being used / manipulated in a deceptive manner to get free repair work. The fact of the matter is that [redacted] never brought the vehicle to us to be inspected after her initial issue, continued to drive the car which led to total failure of the transfer case. Had the vehicle been brought to us right away, we would have had a chance to diagnose the issue and potentially replace / repair the transfer case. The warranty company was completely in the right to deny this claim because the customer was driving the vehicle knowing there was an issue. It should be noted, that ABC Auto NEVER diagnosed the Vue as having a brake issue. Described symptoms led us to believing it as a potential issue, but diagnoses was still necessary. Sincerely,Kenny [redacted]OwnerABC Auto Brokers Miles When Sold 134045 (3171 miles)Miles at Repair 137216
