Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]My sons name is [redacted]. His birth date is July **, 1983. His criminal case took place in New York, New York. I find it incredible that ABC Bond would not have his information since he Was required to report to ABC Bonds two or three times a month during his court process. ABC Bond appear to be using stalling tactics to avid responsibility.   [redacted]

Review: I post bail for my son of approximately $5000.00. After his case was dismissed and he was declared innocent I sought the refund less a %10 service fee. When I was given the refund check by the bond company called "ABC Bail Bond Agency Inc." I was astonished that the check was only for $2,840.00. This amounted to an almost %50 service fee.

This fee amount is very excessive and justified. My son was never at risk to jump bail or leave his place of residence. He has maintained employment fir over a year and never posed a flight risk.

I was informed by someone in law enforcement that it's customary by a bail bond company to deduct a %10 fee not %50. I demand the refund of at least another $1,500.00. Thank you.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I want refund of at least an additional $1,500.00.

Review: Attempted to use the services of this outfit to help someone in need. Presented all required documents and paid fees & collateral in cash. They were supposed to process the person prior to their being transferred to the detention facility - they misrepresented this, indicating that the person was NOT scheduled to be transferred. The next day they called to say my status as a retired person disqualified me. The person in need was transferred, contrary to their representation. They refunded my money, but refused to provide copies of the documents I had signed or any of the documentation I had provided, nor even a copy of the signed papers for the refund. They said that IF I had requested copies that night they would have provided them - but I was so tired after hours of waiting that I neglected to so so at the time. Afterwards they refused on the grounds that the bail arrangement had been voided. They misspelled my name of the refund checks and said "if the bank refuses to process them, let us know and we'll deal with it." No customer service here - you're a supplicant and they owe you nothing.Desired Settlement: I want copies of the documents I signed to obtain the services they promised to deliver - whether they are marked VOID or not. I want the return of my sensitive personal documents (e.g., tax return, bank statements, co-op proof of address invoice). I also want them to acknowledge the harm they did - if I had known I was ineligible to use their service I would have been able to pay the (higher) bail directly with the MCC and prevent a very ill young man from being shipped to Riker's Island without access to his life-preserving medication. They also misrepresented that their records showed he was NOT due to be transferred - that he was to be held in local lockup for several more days.

Review: The receipt given to me for the collateral of my bail was explained to me as 750 collateral + 750 additional collateral = 1500 collateral to be returned. On January [redacted] ABC Bail bonds called me to pick up my collateral after a standard 7week wait. When I arrived the collateral check was for 1300 in oppose to the 1500 I originally put down for collateral. ABC Bail bonds (Julie) disputed my claim for a $1500 collateral and tried to prove to me the collateral was indeed 1300 by going to the court record. The court record supported my claim of 1500. Abc Bail bonds then disputed the validity of my receipt explaining that my receipt only shows 750 in collateral and that the remainder of 300 (far less than the 1300 they tried to originally refund me) should go to the co signer who produced it. I also disputed this because when I posted the bail application I was advised all collateral would be returned to me due to the 300 being added to the premium because it was such a small amount contributed to the total of 3160 that was needed. My portion being 2950.Desired Settlement: I would like ABC Bail bonds to return the collateral of 1500 as noted by my receipt and their court documents.
