July 3, 2017RE: complaint # 12***To Whom it may concern:This is in response to a complaint made by MrDahl. His complaint was that we had cheap rentals, and expensive repairs. He also claims that we set him up for failure by purposely leaving out anchor bags. First of all, Mr
D*** is not my client. He did not make the reservation. He did not sign the contracts. was present at the checkout where my customer, MrP*** was present and the signer of the contract. MrP*** may have shared the skis with MrDahl, but MrDa** was not my direct customer. In my opinion he doesn't have the right to complain here.Second, both MrP*** and MrDa** were here for the extensive check out before the skis were taken to lake Powell for a week. The skis were nearly new. One ski had only hours on it and the other had ninety five hours. the entire contract was read to them and the rules and regulations. they were told and taught how to tie off skis on a "trout line" behind their houseboat. We explicitly told them if they were to go exploring that they would need to anchor them off shore using the anchor bag and bouy in the jet ski. They were told multiple times during the checkout not to take the skis to shore or use the skis to tow the house boatMrP*** and his wife and friend said that we should feel f=very comfortable renting to them because they were retired and they were just going to put around the lake and house boat. They didn't have plans on exploring the shore. As we continued the checkout it was mentioned many more times at the counter, that the skis "should not be tied to another boat, dock, or any other watercraft." The education continued outside around the skis and we mentioned again that the skis don't get tied to anythingMrP*** and his wife mentioned again that they were not going to shore. This was said when I was looking for the anchor bags in the hatch. They said they would not need them the skis would be anchored off the house boat when not in use and were never planning on going where they would be anchored in the water.Pictures were taken in front of the customers and then scratches and scrapes were notated. It was explained to them if there was damage that they would be charged for any damage to the skis at $per inch and that they would be responsible for broken or lost parts on or about the ski. on their return there was extensive body damages around the body of each ski and the nose of one ski had a inch by inch fiberglass hole they ran completely thru the hull. The hoods on both skis had chips and scrapes and damagesThe hoods had to be replaced to bring the skis to the same shape they were before they were rented by the P*** At, times, due to time constraints we do have to out source extensive repairs to other qualified fiberglass specialists. Our prices have always been the same. Our daily rate is $per ski, and on the weekend our rental is $per skiWe actually give a discount to people who book for Lake Powell at a rate similar to a daily rateWe always send the newest and best skis. This was a new set of skis and they were aware it was fairly new. In conclusion, the customers on return told me that they were just sitting on the skis and a large emergency vehicle had driven by and the skis hit one another and that is how the damaged happened. The customers followed the rules about staying two hundred feet away from all other watercrafts, docks and the shoreline at all times there would never have any damages to the skisIf they had the anchor bags they still couldn't be at the docksHowever, where ever the damage occurred, be at the boat dock while at a restaurant or in the middle of the lake running in to one another are still liable for all damages.MrDa** paid the damages because MrP*** paid the rental for days and they shared the skis. MrP*** and MrDa** were very happy to get brand new skis on the pick up. After the damage was talked about they said they would be ok renting skis that looked like what they brought back. When they picked up they were concerned they might get skis that were all dinged up and we assured him that they were getting very nice skis. So obviously they care about how the skis look and how they run. They received new skis and damaged them and need to be responsible for the damaged. MrP*** signed all the contracts and agreed to abide by those rules., MrP***'s damages to our skis came to nearly for repairs and replacement of hoods and repair of fiberglass. The damage was all the way through the hull and that was very expensive to repair. Not including that the skis were off the water for over a week and were not able to go with a scheduled renter. Excellent company to work with. Very helpful and jet skis were in great condition. Can't wait to rent from them again!

Very good experience they are understandable people and give you your money's worth. Will definitely keep using their services and recommend them to anyone wanting to rent jet skis this summer

ABC Bicycles & Jet Ski Rental is the place to rent from, we had a wonderful experience on 2011 that we decided to rent this year again. My family really loved using the Jet Skis we had so much fun, they have a wonderful staff and are detail oriented( great safety tipes).
