Review: On 8/**/15 Phil P[redacted] owner of ABC Chimney Service agreed to do work at my Mother's house to be started on the [redacted]. He knew how time sensitive the work to be done was. In ordered for him to do the work I had to remove caulking that filled in holes on the top of the brick on the front of my mother's house. Opening this up left the house vulnerable to water getting inside the walls. On 8/**/15 he collected a down payment of $300 in cash from my mother, a seventy six year old recent widow. He didn't show up or call on the [redacted], so I called him and he said he was running behind on a job and wouldn't be able to start until the next day. He said he would be there on the [redacted] but once again he didn't show but this time he said it would be a week before he could start. This run around of saying he would be there the following week went on every week through September. With weather getting colder the masonry work had to be done before it got too cold, so I only had October left and I needed it done before more damage was done to my mother's house. So several times in October I told him if he couldn't do the job I could find another to do the work, but that I needed the money back to give to the new contractor, each time he promised he would be there. On [redacted] when he was supposed to be there an employee of Phil's called and said he was in the hospital and would call me once he was out. I told his employee to have Phil call me. I hired another contractor to do the work. The new contractor with one helper had it done as well as more masonry work that I added to the job in one day. I called Phil several times but his voicemail was always full and I couldn't leave a message, he never called me back. Finally I got a hold of him on December ** and told Phil that I had the work done and wanted my Mom's money back within a few days. He said Christmas is on Friday, so I said fine by the [redacted]. When he didn't, I called him on about the [redacted], told him he had a week or I would contact the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I want the money returned quickly.
