Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:This company STILL has a link on their official website claiming they are a Revdex.com accredited business [redacted].  That is NOT true and this should be addressed immediately.  I have written responses to [redacted] write-up below.  I would advise that the Revdex.com review some of the Yelp complaints against this company and specifically [redacted].  They truly are criminals who are out in our neighborhoods taking advantage of people. March 20, 2017 [redacted] called in for an appointment for a Master Electrician at [redacted]. During the initial call in, [redacted] was informed of our terms of service which include a $79.00 travel fee. He seemed to be reluctant about the travel fee but wanted a master electrician to review the home inspection report by a home. inspector. He was told if he had reservations about the travel fee, he should not use us. [redacted] changed his mind and set an appointment for a Master Electrician. upon arrival at the service address I looked at the home inspection report and commented the items listed most of the items listed were not relevant except the sizing of breaker for the A/C circuit. This is incorrect.  First off, I requested a call prior to your arrival because we were moving from our previous home and I was not at the new address where I requested service.  I was, however, only 15 minutes away which is why I requested that you contact be 30 minutes prior.  Whomever I spoke with agreed but [redacted] did NOT call me upon arrival.  I just happened to be there.  When he arrived, instead of greeting me he immediately walked to the side of my property to poke around at the breaker and the A/C unit.  I inquired as to who this person was and [redacted] introduced himself.  I then acted a bit surprised since I did not receive a call prior as I requested to which [redacted] replied “hey this appointment was from 2-4 and it’s 2:30pm so I am still early!  I have plenty of other clients I could be seeing!”  This was where I knew we were going to have an issue.  Additionally, the first thing you did was immediately try to sell me some expensive whole-home surge protector unit.  You spent 10 minutes talking about this instead of addressing the inspection report as you claimed you did here.I Checked the inspection on the A/C circuit and indeed requires a 50 amp  zpole breaker, The existing A/C breaker was a zpole 30 amp breaker. I showed the price if replacing and provided the required 50 amp breaker a level (3) price of $171.00 with one year warranty. I asked if he would like to have the work done. His response was the price of $171.00 was ridiculous and criminal and was going to contact the licensing board, Revdex.com, and the internet. I never once mentioned to you in person the pricing was criminal, nor did I ever tell you that I’d be contacting the licensing board, Revdex.com or the internet.  This occurred AFTER you refused to tell me who the owner of ABC was so that I could speak to them.  It was AFTER I made approximately 10 attempts to contact ABC only to have my phone calls put straight to voicemail.  This was AFTER you became irate and began yelling at me in front of my new neighbors (yes, they witnessed this and yes, are willing to testify).  This was AFTER I looked up ABC on both Yelp and the Revdex.com website and noticed all of the similar complaints against this company and more specifically, [redacted].  I asked if he wanted to pay the travel fee. He said he would because he agreed to pay the travel fee. I said since he was so unhappy about the preceding that he not pay the travel fee and I would be thankful polite and wish him a good day. No.  You specifically said “well I will just note down that you are refusing to pay what you agreed to pay” to which I told you “I was not refusing to pay anything, I have my credit card in my hands and am reading it to you but you will not let me finish”  If you recall I was reading my credit card to you when you wanted to know the reasons why I was not proceeding with your service.  I provided 2 reasons.  1) pricing and 2) your attitude towards your customers. His response was he wanted to know who my supervisor was so he could contact to complain about my rudeness. Incorrect.  Your behavior was so out of line that I was about 2 seconds away from contacting the police to have you escorted off my property.I again said you don't have to pay the travel fee and I will understand he refused. He paid by credit card for the travel and I politely departed his presence. No.  You again said “Ok I will note down that you are refusing to pay for what you agreed to pay for”Regards,
[redacted]

The option of not paying the travel fee was offered to Mr [redacted] on gentlemanly terms! The option of returning the travel fee is offered again on basis of taking down negative comments from internet!Upon confirmation of internet techs about such erroneous comments travel fee will be returned to credit card! Sincerely [redacted],Senior Master Electrician

I am rejecting this response because: He has simply not responded to the issue here. I believe the owner should have been the one to respond, not the electrician.  His version is in the letter, and that is quite different than...

my own, which I believe to be more accurate.  Bottom line is the service recieved was not satisfactory and therefore I ask they live up to their guarantee and refund me.  This is not the first complaint on Google about [redacted] and his very haughty manner with customers.  I would never dream of speaking the way he did to me to one of my patients.  And the owner dismissed me and my version of the story the second he discovered I was not Christian and told me that is why he did not believe what I said.  My husband is the one who called and said [redacted] was acting like an "[redacted]". Not me. And he came home just as [redacted] began his bible verse rant. There was nothing friendly about his accusations or his manner. Now let's deal with the issue at hand. Do the right thing. Refund my money.

I am rejecting this response because:I will absolutely NOT be removing ANY of my comments from the internet.  They're negative because they reflect the truth about how you operate your business.  Anyone can review the Yelp, Revdex.com and Google comments and clearly see that there are severe issues with the way you treat your potential customers.  There are very detailed reviews online about ABC that include borderline criminal conduct.  The public has every right to read honest reviews about how you treat your customers.  Do honest businesses ignore phone calls from customers who are trying to resolve issues?  Do honest businesses still claim to be Revdex.com accredited when they clearly are not?  Do honest businesses argue with their clients in front of their new neighbors?  If your definition of "gentlemanly response" is accusing me of "refusing to pay a travel fee I already agreed to" while I literally was trying to read you my credit card number then I would hate to see what a stern response would be.My suggestion to you is that if you don't want truthful comments to be negative then change the way you treat your customers or stop doing business!I am requesting a full refund of the travel fee and investigation into ABC Electric.
