ABC Home Automation Reviews (%countItem)

here's a timeline:

Thursday Nov 22 - we move in.
Friday - Nov 23 - ABC Home automation is booked to arrive at 10am - he does not arrive until 12noon, and does not have the passwords for us to gain access to the system. He says he will return the following day - Saturday Nov 24th.

Saturday Nov 24 - he no shows. *** tries to get ahold of him via text, and phone- and no reply.

Monday Nov 26th - *** finally gets ahold of him again and says he'll be there on Tuesday - 10am.

Tuesday Nov 27th - He's so late we can't meet up with him due to work and school kids drop offs. 11am decide to cancel as he's 1 hour late. we ask him to come back Wednesday - but he said he can't until thursday Nov 29th.

Thursday Nov 29th - said he would be there at 10am. arrives at 1145am. still can't figure out the passwords. said his phone is broken and is trying to use mine. still can't figure out the passwords. we said he'd come back another day. we ask for Friday. he says he can't and insists on coming back Saturday.

Friday Nov 29th - My truck is broken into - mess in the glove compartment, and arm rest, and - nothing major stolen. would like to review our security camera's???

Saturday Dec 1 - no shows. no word from developer.

Sunday Dec 1 - *** contacts developer who said he'll send the plumber to add the garburator and that he would come by to let us know about the home automation however the developer no-shows. plumber said developer would be by at some time next week. and the developer no-shows the entire week.

Wednesday Dec 5th *** text messages developer and no answer. does not answer phone calls.

I have done nothing wrong. I never raised my voice, or cursed at the ABC home automation person once knowing we need his services to get this done.

we've been here Nov 22. 17 days and still remaining issues.

1) no password to security alarm.
2) no access to our camera's. we are concerned we are being watched by other people who have access to our camera's and can see when we are home or not. this is a major security concern especially after the way these people act.
3) no access to security camera in our garage

4) security codes needed for alarm in rental unit

every day is more anxiety.
*** it's hard to see how a 2,5,10 year warranty is supposed to work with these people when they can't even hand it over properly after 17 days.

we gave more time and the developer was trying to get a hold of Satwinder from abc automation. ***
requested password again jan 7th. no msgs. Satwinder claims to have sent msgs to ***'s email. *** has received nothing.

We have now hired our own company and they fixed the password situation for us in one day!!!! we will be dealing with this company going forward. We ask that abc automation pays for this as it was an agreement in our contract when we bought the house that cameras would be in working order.

ABC Home Automation Response • Jun 20, 2019

Initial Business Response /(1000, 5, 2019/01/31) */
Contact Name and Title: Satwinder G (CEO)
Contact Phone: ***
Contact Email: ***
- Yes I have done that said house wiring and Finishing.
- They contacted me to come to there home and show them how all the security system works on Nov 23. I shows there little late because of Traffic on Hwy as I m going from Surrey to Burnaby. Before going there I have sent email to *** to set up his own password of security system but he didn't. When I ask him to use his phone his behaviour is super rude and tell me that he don't have time for this now. As you guys knows that in our field we need time to tell customer that how the system works.
- As he told me to come back on next day I call him ahead of time that I have some urgent work I won't be able to come.
- Then there agent call me to come on Nov 27 I have made all the arrangements then I got call that they are not available so they cancel appointment.
- On Nov 29 I went there and tried to explain then same thing happens *** says he don't have time and his wife has to rush for dropping kid to school and I have to come back again from Burnaby without doing anything.
- *** said that I don't have knowledge about password how he can say that I m not new to this field.
- *** didn't set up his passwords that's only thing and he is working from home and he is fed up from moving and all he is giving blame on me for everything
***
- If he says that I have to pay for password service from another company I can pay reasonable amount for this service

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /(3000, 10, 2019/02/20) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
the passwords that we received yet again from ABC automation did not work. and when I sent a msg to him saying it did not work I received no reply at all. this was back on feb.7th/19.

This has gone on for far too long with no positive results only excuses. We are sorry he lost a family member but that has nothing to do with the lack of service we have received thus far. We moved in November. this was to be given to us upon moving day or at least the week after. His family issues happened 2 months later! Traffic is also not our problem we can understand a few minutes late without a call but an hour or more we would have liked a call as we have work and a family life.

He came to our place 2 times - both with passwords that did not work. then he asked to use our phones which he did not know how to make work either. Just seems a lack of experience. And *** never received any email of passwords or any type of link that ABC automation claims to have sent.

We also had a problem with our front door lock and the locksmith that the developer sent in said that the "automation company" drilled a hole into the fixture causing it to break. This is still not fixed at our house and it is a problem caused by ABC automation as well. This was told to us directly by the locksmith the developer sent in. That is another expense we have to pay due to this company!

The developer has been kind enough to try to help us but he seems to not be getting a proper response either. The passwords he gave us also do not work.

We are very frustrated with this whole ordeal and would just like to move forward.

We would like payment back for this invoice
