We have an A plus rating with the Revdex.com and have been in business for over years !! We would Never tarp an entire roof without permission from homeowner and insurance coAbc roofing were Going to go back and do all repairs for no cost to the homeownerWe are not responsible for this roof !!

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/09/24) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] / owner Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @yahoo.com We will get everything taken care of for this homeowner. Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2014/09/24)... */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I need in detail what they are going to do. Like the final amount, the receipt for paid in full and the liability letter. The response wasn't detailed enough. Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 15, 2014/09/26) */ My husband I are willing to talk. Please call my husband, [redacted] at XXX-XXX-XXXX. I am sorry I did not pick up last night, I was in class. Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 17, 2014/09/29) */ I followed the request provided by the home owner to call the cell number listed for ***. I placed that call mid morning on Saturday Sept 27th. I left a voice message and have not been contacted back as of the time of this message. My next step will be to compose a letter with supporting documents and then mail it to the home owner. Please note that since this complaint was filed that the gutter that was of a concern has been replaced. Consumer Response / [redacted] (3000, 24, 2014/12/08) */ Hello! We did received a sort of bill for ABC roofing. However, it was not detailed and within the bill they sent us. In addition, they also included an invoice for us to sign to okay the up charge on some materials. To me, that is very poor practice to do that after all of the work has been completed. In addition, that invoice they want us to sign is dated 10 days before we even signed our initial contract. Therefore, they completing made up this invoice, we didn't even contact them at that point. So now, I am only will to pay the remaining invoice which is $2328.83, but I have a text from Chris (one of their employees) saying that we can take an additional $100 off from all of the confusion during the whole roofing process. Therefore I am will to pay $2228.83 when ever they would like to have it, but I want a invoice saying paid in full. I am willing to get a lawyer involved if necessary because they are making up invoices prior to us even making a first initial contact of interest in replacing our roof. Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 27, 2014/12/16) */ [redacted] is the manager of the office And has already contacted the homeowner This situation will get resolved. addl info from business: This is [redacted] from the ABC Roofing office in Huntley. I spoke with both Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] Sunday evening, Dec. 14th. The conversation was brief and to the point. In response to the [redacted] 's statement that they are willing to pay if we (ABC Roofing) wants the money, my answer is Yes. I stated to both of them that if they want to resolve this matter then they should write the check, place it in an envelope and mail it to our office. Both Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] stated that the check was going to be mailed on Monday Dec. 15th. I informed them that once the check was received and the funds were verified as deposited and the check clears that a paid invoice will be sent to them at that time. As of the time of this message I am awaiting the arrival of their payment. Thank you, ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: My roof was damaged beyond repairOn 2/19/I contacted my insurance because I had noticed more water spots ranging from my living room ceiling to the kitchen and into the hallway outside my daughters room that had the leak initiallyThe person I spoke to at my local insurance agency told me to contact the contracting company to have them prevent any further water damage from happening inside the houseI then contacted [redacted] (the ABC sales rep) and he came over to inspect the water spotsHe then said "they're obviously leaks because the whole roof has hail damage." Without looking on the roof or inside the attic for these "leaks" he wanted me to contact insurance right away to ask if he could tarp the whole roofThe person who answered at the agency [redacted] told [redacted] and myself that he had to do whatever it took to stop any further leaking [redacted] told [redacted] that the whole roof needed to be tarped and she said that if that's what he thought needed to be done to do soSo again, without checking the roof, he made the call for the whole roof to be tarpedThis now being the THIRD time he has had the roof be tarped since the claim was placed in the middle of DecemberThe first time being for the initial leak in my daughters room, the second time because the tarp was not placed correctly the first time over the leakThis third time the whole roof instead of just where the "new leaks" wereSomehow my garage got tarped and I never showed him any leaks in there, because there weren't anyOnce the adjuster came [redacted] switched his claim with us from hail damage all over the roof to agreeing (with the adjuster) that the spots we saw were from condensationThe adjuster and [redacted] both agreed that the roof was totaled, not because of hail damage but because of the nails that were used all over when tarping the roofThe adjuster said he couldn't pass the whole roof because he was only here for wind damage as per what the claim was initially filed for by ABCThe adjuster found ONE shingle to have wind damageIf [redacted] and Cowould have actually inspected the roof for leaks then the whole roof wouldn't have been tarped since he came to agreeing with the adjuster that the spots were from condensationSo then I thought that because of the excessive nailing and tarps that my roof should be replaced by the people who did the damage, ABCOne time in speaking to [redacted] he claimed to be responsible for the damage done and would do what needed to be done to fix itI asked for that in writing and he denied to have that doneLater on he said that the whole roof was going to be "fixed" by getting one bundle of shingles and some siliconeNow to me one bundle of shingles and some silicone isn't getting my roof repaired "back to original" like [redacted] had saidSince only ONE shingle had damageWith all the damage shown in the attachments it's visible that there were too many nail holes to simply just siliconeI told him I didn't want that done until I got further opinionsI was then advised by [redacted] from [redacted] Contracting to not let him do that because he could then walk away from the issue at hand [redacted] said "they (ABC) damaged the roof beyond repair due to all the nails from the tarping"Since then I have had my roof replaced entirely to actually stop any leaking from the nail holes caused by ABC's tarping jobI would like to be reimbursed by ABC for my costs of my new roofHad it not been for this company I would have only had to replace a shingle for a lot cheaper than what the roof cost me to get doneATTACHMENTS [redacted] Please see page paragraph of attached insurance claim “As we discussed on February 23, 2016, you reported wind damage to your roof with interior leakingMy investigation found one wind damaged shingleThere was no storm damage that caused the other interior leakingThe ice dam is unrelated and handled under another claimWe have allowed temporary repair to cover the one missing shingleThe tarping you had done on the remainder of the roof was not necessary to prevent leaking from a covered loss so that cost is not coveredThe nail holes in the roof from the tarping you had done is also unrelated to the covered wind damage and thus not covered.” [redacted] An email from [redacted] “We found the shingles to be unrepairable due to the amount of nails that had been used on the roof The roof would require full replacement.“ (four photos in email attachment) [redacted] pictures one from the first time being tarped & four from after the third time the roof was tarped Sincerely, [redacted]
