The technician, "Nick," did not recommend that the carpets be cleaned in your "factory." Rather, Nick told my landlord that it HAD to be done that way There is a significant difference between the two There was no option of cleaning the rugs in my apartment given On top of that, if your company uses such "special" cleaning methods that cost 3x the price of other carpet cleaning companies in the area, please explain what methods these are to validate charging an outrageous and overpriced amount such as $1, What was done to clean the wool rug that costed so much? What was done to clean the bedroom (grey) rug that costed so much? Additionally and for the record, I did not state that the company represented themselves as ABC Carpet and Home I stated that my landlord confused the two and thought they were affiliated with one another, which is the only reason for her hiring this company to begin with Surely if the reviews were read ahead of time, your services would not have been booked On top of that, you gave us NO choice but to accept the discounted offer of $IN EXCHANGE for dropping the credit card dispute because you had my rugs in your possession and were not going to give them back! The offer you gave us worked tremendously in your favor and in my opinion should be deemed as blackmail That is not how a professional company does business You lied to the customer and now are misrepresenting yourself once more in how this business transaction was handled We are still seeking retribution

Although this resolution is not what we wanted, it appears that this business will not honor our request.  They will not comment on how other businesses that we have called said, without question, that the services we were given were optional and not necessary other than to charge the customer more money.  That is why they bring items to their warehouse so that we cannot see what it is they are doing.  At this time, since it is our only option unless the Revdex.com would like to get further involved, to accept the offer of an addition $150 refund to the original form of payment.

Revdex.com:At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding ABC Rug Cleaning has been resolved.
After filing the complaint, the business contacted us the next week to schedule delivery of our carpet.
It was cleaned....

 The color restoration was not done, but we are not pursuing the matter further.
The company that delivered the carpet was a different company.  I suspect that ABC carpet cleaning contracts their work out.
From investigating other prizes, we were charged about 4 times what it should have cost.

Review: After an incident in my apartment, my landlord was kind enough to offer to have both of my rugs professionally cleaned. One rug was wool located in the living room and the other rug was a typical material located in bedroom. My landlord hired "ABC Carpet" which she found online thinking they were associated with the established "ABC Carpet & Home." The date of cleaning was scheduled and my landlord met the technician at my apartment. Upon meeting, the technician (Nick) immediately began being aggressive and intimidating. He told my landlord that BOTH rugs had to be sent out to be hand washed due to their material, which is not true. The wool rug can be cleaned in house and if anything was the only rug that needed to be sent out, while the bedroom rug did not require any special type of cleaning at all. Nick told my landlord that this was the only way to have it done and provided her an invoice of over $1,300. My landlord, having been convinced Nick was telling the truth, agreed to sign.

She then waited several days after not hearing from the company. She did some additional research only to find that the average cost for two rugs within the area (including the wool) was only around $500! Not to mention, they took the second rug out of the home which did not require any special cleaning. My landlord spoke to "Dan" at the company several times about canceling because it was over priced and way too much. Dan was unwilling to cancel the order and offered my landlord a $250 discount if she decided to drop her dispute with her credit card company. Afraid of not being able to get my rugs back, she agreed.

I feel that my landlord was EXTREMELY taken advantage of and if I had known the quote ahead of time (being they are my rugs) I would have strongly advised her not to spend such a ludicrous amount for both rugs.There is no reason why both rugs were taken out of the apartment for special cleaning and it is unsure if the rugs were even cleaned properly. We are asking for a refund in full.Desired Settlement: Due to the rugs being sent out of the apartment to be cleaned under false information provided to my landlord, and after reading such terrible and outlandish reviews of this company, it is our request to be refunded in full for this invoice as we feel the rugs were not even cleaned properly and have no way of telling so. The driver, Nick, strong armed my landlord into agreeing to this invoice and the other man, Dan, was very intimidating over the phone. Nothing was handled professionally.

Review: I asked the company to clean my rugs with their advertised deep cleaning. When they brought my rugs back, I found that they had barely vacuumed the rugs and had not deeply cleaned them. I refused to pay the hundreds of dollars that they were charging and they now refuse to return my rugs to me. Please help me!Desired Settlement: I want my rugs deep cleaned as advertised and returned to me ASAP.
