Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
I reject this response. No where in the contract does it state that the time starts from when they get a down payment. That was never said to me and I was the one that spoke to Mr. G[redacted]. He also promised me that they would schedule withing 2 weeks. I would be getting a call. I did not receive not one phone call  from these people. When I spoke about a refund and what Mr. G[redacted] had said they told me to read the back of the contract. Apparently they put everything imaginable on the back of their contract. I did see that even though they may make a verbal agreement with you, it is not honored. Now what kind of business is this?? All we are asking for is a refund. And maybe they better tighten their contract to stipulate that your time starts when they get money. I think 1 year is long enough to get a date to do a small job. I also stated to them that if they were that busy they should inform their customers. I was not informed til I tried to get a refund.Sincerely,[redacted]

Thank you for sending us this information.   Mr. [redacted] has retained an attorney and we believe that this situation is best served to be followed through from the contract to what are actually the facts.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Of this part of the last...

sentence, "followed through from the contract to what are actually the facts."  Everything I said in my complaint are factual.  They have no intent to work this out other then charge me full amount on the contract.  It was also found out through the home inspection from the buyer of my home that the roof has been leaking.  Which if they would have done my roof in a timely fashion I wouldn't have this problem to deal with as well.  Bottom line if they would have done the job in a timely fashion I wouldn't be asking for my deposit back or damage from a leak in the roof.  I do however agree I have retained an attorney in hopes to remedy the problem quicker as the business had no interest in returning my calls or putting forth any good intention to make it work out.

Hello;I just realized that my response to this complaint did not go through. I wrote to you last week. We are still in the process of completing the contract. As hard as we have tried, we just can't make the [redacted] happy with our work. We will be re-installing the rain-gutter system we installed on 7/31/15. This contract was dated 7/9/15 and we were there on 7/31/15 to do the gutters and downspouts. The [redacted] advised us that we did not use long enough screws and that those gutters are therefore not acceptable.  The [redacted] have another contractor doing their soffit and fascia. When all of that is done, our installers will return to do new gutters and they will be installed with longer screws and will catch rafter tails. We will not charge to re-do the rain-gutter system. We ordered and tried to install a new bay window that was on the contract. The first bay window was not acceptable per the [redacted], so we re ordered it with some modification from the original order. Because the new bay has a deeper seat, a small roof was needed. Our installers framed in the little roof and Mr. [redacted] said that he would have shingles matching the house installed by his other contractor. There was no charge on the original contract for this roof issue, which would be at least a $100 charge. We feel that this little roof cost would offset the price of a 12 inch scratch on the vinyl window we installed for them on 8/28/15.We aren't done with completing the terms of this contract. I will notify you when we are done. Thank you for your consideration.Deb B[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: When the workers for ABC Seamless were here they told me personally they would get that piece and finish it up within a few days. I had the young gentleman put it on his paperwork that was signed by him and witnessed by a worker of his. The ABC Seamless crew were good and polite and know what they were doing. Wish I could say the same for the communications with the higher ups. So if they would finish the job I would gladly sign off of it and be done with them. They are not an easy company to work with.
Sincerely,[redacted]

Revdex.com,I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,[redacted]
Our Response:
The problem with the gutters we had was...

NOT the length of screws.  It was that we had asked the estimator to make certain that the screws were installed into the rafter tails for structure.  They were not installed correctly.  They merely went into the fascia board.  The fascia board is only nailed into the rafter tails.  The gutter now has holes in it that are in the incorrect placement regarding the rafter tails.
The slider window that was scratched was not a 1-2 inch scratch.  There are gouges, and many large, deep scratches that exceed 15 inches on three of the window edges.  Regarding the roof over the bay, the owner and the general manager said that they ALWAYS install a roof over the bay, because their new windows almost never fit exactly to the old roof.  If that is the case, why now when the work was going to take place, and the payment was made in full, would they tell us that they would normally charge more for the roof.  The roof, structural and sealed, is also an IMPORTANT WARRANTY REQUIREMENT from Simonton Windows company.  If that is the case, why would that not have been disclosed at the time of contract, and included in the price?  We are not receiving correct information from ABC regarding this.
About the bay window:  When the manager came to put in the original bay that was ordered, it was about four inches too narrow, and two inches too short.  It was also about four inches not deep enough (projection).  We were made aware of this AFTER our window was pulled out and broken in three pieces.  So, the manager said that he would frame it in while we were at work, and see how we like it.  He said if we didn't like it, he would order a new larger one to fit better into our existing hole.  We returned to see our hole boarded up.  I asked the manager what had happened, and he said that he didn't like the way it looked, and he went ahead and ordered another bay.   We were told that it would be in within a week and a half, and long story short, it took a little over a month for them to get it in and come install it.  That is where we have one issue, and the other is the way that it was installed.  It was not installed properly to Simonton window manufacturer specifications.  It was not sealed, was not structural, and was not even pushed in to the home completely in place.  There were also a few other issues that we were told they were going to take care of regarding our other three windows that they installed.  When they left after installing this bay, I called the next morning (Oct. 7th), and Deb told me that she was assuming they were finished with the job, because the installers handed her the final paperwork.  I talked to Deb at 8am on the 7th,  after they had finished on the 6th, and she said that she would call me to confirm that they were finished with the job they had left.  She said she would call by 8:30am.  It is now the 16th, and I have not heard from Deb, or the installers, stating whether they thought they were finished.  We had sent two emails the weeks previously stating that we could not wait much longer, because we still had a siding job being held up for the last month due to the window issues.  We have since installed the windows properly per the manufacturer regulations, and will be requesting a refund from ABC Seamless of Billings.

Hello:
In response to the complaint filed by [redacted] we offer the following information.  On May 1, 2015 we received a call from [redacted] of [redacted] to do an estimate to repair some ABC Seamless siding that had been damaged when a vehicle hit the building. On the following Monday, May...

4, 2015, our sales person, Larry G[redacted] met with [redacted] and they wrote up two estimates.  One was for the damaged wall(s) and one was for new gutters and downspouts.  When Larry G[redacted] tried to follow up with [redacted], he couldn't get calls returned, so Larry G[redacted] dropped off these two estimates and "left them in the door" at [redacted]  Mr. G[redacted] told me that he ended up talking with [redacted] and told her that we needed a down payment to get these estimates into production.  Finally, on 2/12/16 we received a customer's check #[redacted] for $2,142.00.  A year earlier, Mr. G[redacted] notified them that we were scheduled out at least 8 months.  Mr. G[redacted] tells us that he found out that [redacted] was a maintenance man for [redacted] - yet he's the one who signed our contracts. We were told that [redacted] had been fired last year.   As hard as we've been working, we are still scheduled out at least 6 or more months.  By paying a down payment, that turns an estimate into a contract.  We can then order material and get everything ready for installation.  The only fair way to schedule work to be done is by down payment date order.  Our company originally did this work, and the material is under our ABC Seamless warranty.  If they have anyone else do this work, it will void their warranty.  [redacted] is making us feel like crooks.  They demand the down payment be refunded because they refuse to wait like all of our other customers.  There are provisions on the back of the contract about cancellations and refunds.  We are not contractually obligated to refund down payment money unless it is requested within 3 days of making that down payment.  We fully intend on doing this work.  We always complete our projects.  We will get to this job as soon as we possibly can.  It should only be about 2 days of work.  We just can't work this in because we have many jobs that may only take a couple of days, but have paid their down payments prior to [redacted] giving us theirs.  Right now, [redacted] has officially been waiting for us for about 3 months.  We will be able to get this done this summer, and their siding warranty will remain intact.  Just because we met with them in May of 2015 doesn't mean that we've put them off for a year.  We have ordered the material with their down payment, and fully intend on honoring this contract.
Deborah B[redacted], ABC Seamless of Billings, Inc.

Hello:
Through a separate email to you (being sent right now - 2:30 PM our time on 6/15/16) is our response to this complaint from the [redacted].  Please let me know if you have any questions after reading through my response.
As always, thank you for your assistance with this...

matter.
Sincerely,
Deb B[redacted], ABC Seamless of Billings, Inc.

Poor company service and communication. Signed contract in Dec. 2014 for rain gutter & down spouts (1/3 down $2,000). It was winter so we were told the work would be done in Mar. 2015 unless the winter was mild and they would be earlier. I kept calling and got the runaround telling me in Mar. 2015 it would be next month and we were #26 on the list. Called in Apr. 2015 and we went to #30 on the list. Called in May 2015 and ABC could not give me a date. Canceled my job and hired another local company with better material at a lower cost. I should have read all the complaints about ABC! Warning: get positive referrals from local companies. Again not all local companies are reputable so beware.

ABC Seamless has the best warranty servic3e of any one. I purchased my gutters in 1989. I later added on to the house and again went with ABC Seamless. Now in 2013 I had a problem with one section which was installed in 1989. Contacted office, they send someone out to verify that indeed it was covered under their lifetime warranty. In order to set up a appointment for the repair, [redacted] was the most pleasant understanding person, such great customer service. She send 2 gentleman named [redacted] and [redacted] to fix what needed fixed. [redacted] noticed that the gutter where no longer working to the standards of his company so he suggested that they should be replaced. One week later they showed up and in no time rehung new gutters. Such great customer service, care for my property is hard to find these days. Thank you ABC Seamless for hiring and keeping such great employees.

I will recommend ABC Seamless to anyone who would like new gutters and have so in the past due their outstanding service. As you can say when they lifetime guarantee they mean lifetime guarantee.

We ordered siding from ABC and paid the $18000 out of our personal savings not from an insurance settlement. After paying half down, they didn't start on it for over 6 months. When they did start, it was snowing and cold. They damaged our roof by pulling shingles back. They didn't attach all the siding and the insulation was falling out from under it. They left a mess. It's been two years. The owner demanded full payment....he even came to our house. They still have not fixed siding or the damage to our roof. The gutters have huge holes and leak. They have talked big and done nothing to resolve the issues. I would NEVER recommend them!

Review: Abc seamless was contracted to roof my home. While doing the job they borrowed a ladder that got hit by their forklift and damaged. They also scraped the corner of the garage with the forklift tire and damaged a tree. They said they would make matching trim pieces for the garage and get me a new ladder. This was in July, 2015. I've called and talked to staff, the job boss and the owner. I was told that the ladder and trim pieces would be dropped off the next week. This was about the last week of November or early December. It is now January and have not heard a word.Desired Settlement: Deliver the ladder and trim pieces.

Regards,

Review: I contracted with ABC Seamless in Dec. 2014 for a new steel shake roof. Their sales man, [redacted], told me I would be the first job on their list for the coming Spring and that my job would be done March/April 2015. I started calling in May to find out when my job would be started, I was told by [redacted] (office manager), that I was two weeks out and my job would be done by June. July I called and got a story about how they don't have any employees, they are not passing drug and alcohol tests, and they just don't have a good crew right now. They were hopeful my job would be started in July/Aug. I called again at the beginning of August, and got a new story about how they just don't have anyone willing to work as their employees are choosing to work in the Bakken oil fields. Again, I was told by the end of Aug. I called again, and was told two weeks, according to the new story my product was on its way. Again, no confirmation when I called yesterday 8/20/2015 to find out where my job was. I requested to cancel my contract with ABC Seamless and was told the owner would be calling me first thing in the morning. Again, no contact has been made. I need my $10,000 deposit returned to me ASAP. I have another roofing company starting the job and they are needing my insurance money to get started. ABC Seamless needs to refund me, in full, my$10,000 insurance proceeds.Desired Settlement: Refund to me in full my $10,000 insurance proceeds deposit.

We had ABC Seamless install siding and windows in the fall of 2013. Since then we have been trying to have them fix a few things. They have resolved some of the problems but not all, they seem like they don't care about customer satifaction. The gals in the office are great to deal with.

Review: I signed a contract in may for the job to be completed and the job is paid in full but their part is not completed yet. I have no siding on my house and had to file an extension due to them not getting the job done.Desired Settlement: Get the job done. I call and am told constantly thy will call me back or they should be starting next week but it does not happen. THey have giving me plenty of excuses between being short handed and weather but if you know you cannot complete the task in a timely manner you should not be over booking yourselves so much. The owner himself was to call me and never happened. iwant the job done so that I do not have to deal with them anymore. Or a full refund would suffice as well.

Revdex.com,

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]When I agreed to the terms they were to start the job on Dec 8 and have it done within 10 working days. The siding has been installed but they have not installed the window that was to be part of the contract. They completed the siding on 12/18/14 and told my daughter they would return that weekejnd to install the window and explained I needed to get a new light for the front because of the siding my old one would not work which I did along with a new mailbox and numbers that evening, due to the fact that all of it was left on the ground in front of my house for 3 weeks and some of it you can no longer find under the snow. I contacted [redacted] today and was told they would be there today to finish the job explaining I had bought the new items and they were all laying there waiting to be installed but again they did not show up. Please re-open my complaint until the job is completed.

Response:

Just to update you, they finally finished the job Monday January 26 well beyond the 10 business days they told me it would take. This company continued to lie to me. They left trash nails and screws all around my house. They broke my back porch light and said it was already broken yes one light fixture laid down now but both lights worked now it does not work at all. While they installed my window they complained that I should have paid more, truth is I should get some kind of refund for the time it took the horrible service I received and the mess and damages left by their employees. I would never recommend this company to anyone and feel people should be warned about them.

Review: I bought windows from ABC Seamless in Billings MT last year in June. $4000.00 worth They have a life time warranty, in Dec 2013 one window started blowing air through the opening of the window, it took almost a month to get ABC seamless to look at the windows, And it ended up being 7pm when they finally got here. It took 5 guys an hour to figure out the problem and said we need a bigger sash. This was in Dec. we are still waiting for sash to be replaced. The sashes were in Billings May 15. after numerous phone calls. Monday they told us they would be her Friday. Today they said maybe 3 am friday or Saturday. Who knows when we will get our windows fixed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS, [redacted] IS SO UNHELPFULL, SHE JUST SAYS THEY ARE WAY TO BUSY..... DO NOT USE ABC OF BILLINGS FOR ANY OF YOUR HOME NEEDS...Desired Settlement: WANT THIS WINDOW FIXED NOW!!!! almost 7 months waiting for a WARRENTY FIX ON WINDOWS WANT A REFUND ON WINDOWS OR AT LEAST A PARTIAL REFUND, THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER. WE HAD 7 MORE WINDOWS TO REPLACE BUT NOT WITH ABC SEAMLESS OF BILLINGS MT

Business

Response:

Hello:

Finally, on Tuesday, 7/23/13, we received two new window sashes from the window manufacturer, Simonton Windows. The original winow installers picked up the sashes and drove to Whitehall and installed these replacement sashes. I am hopeful that this will stop the howling window from the winds in Whitehall.

I agree that this was way too long in the works, and bottom line, I will take responsibility for this. I would like you to have a brief history of this problematic window contract. The original contract was written with the [redacted]s on 7/5/12. The four windows were immediately ordered , then installed on 7/27/12. The Simonton Window Warranty was prepared and mailed to [redacted]s P.O. Box on 7/31/12. A few months later, [redacted] called to say that wind was howling through the sides of one of the window units. Whitehall is in a relatively high wind area, but, in spite of this, the windows should not be doing this. Because of terrible weather and road conditions, it was 3/6/13 before I was able to contact one of our crews working in Butte and asked them to check out this problem and advise what I need to do/order to correct the howling window. That crew leader said that we should try to get slightly larger sashes -they were to be 3/8" taller. I contacted our window manufacturer on 3/15/13 and made this request for larger sashes. After getting no response, I again contacted the manufacturer on 3/21/13 for a response. Still with no response, I contacted a manager at the manufacturer on 4/30/13. Soon after, on 5/14/13 we received the new sashes. All of our installers were working on jobs in Wyoming, so I was unable to get a qualified crew leader to return to install the sashes until 7/1/13. THOSE NEW SASHES WERE TOO LARGE AND WOULD NOT FIT INTO THE OVERALL FRAME. On 7/3/13, I again ordered new sashes. This time I ordered one sash 1/8" taller and one sash 1/4" taller. These sashes DID NOT ARRIVE FROM THE MANUFACTURER UNTIL 7/23/13. As soon as these units arrived in Billings, the original installing crew picked them up and drove the 203 miles to Whitehall and installed them. They told me that the new units were extremely tight, but that they got them in and are hopeful that the "howling" will not return. I feel that it is very fair to say that my failure to respond much more quickly is as of a direct result of the manufacturer's failure to provide me/ABC Seamless with better service. ABC Seamless has been charged for the second "remakes" by the manufacturer - they were not made under the warranty (only the first two sashes were made for no charge). Besides the additional costs of the sashes, we have also paid for installers time and gas to and from Whitehall twice (which is 203 miles one way from Billings).

Respectfully submitted,

[redacted], ABC Seamless of Billings, Inc.
