Why didn't the person who was coming to get her tell her they would bring someone to drive the vehicle? The fact is she wasn't permitted to drive and her car was towedWe offered to assist with the cell phone situationWe reviewed the tape several times as well as the camera technician to make sure we weren't missing anythingThe trunk of her vehicle was not liftedI am trying to stay professional in this entire situation, but for this individual to talk ill and trash a business that has done so much for so many is a little ridiculousEmployees have driven to cemeteries staying on a cell phone call with an individual whose vehicle won't start because they are afraidDriven way out of the area because an area business can't get their van running and they have clients waiting on themCall the company "shady", I think this family needs to think about what they are saying and the words they find so easy to throw aroundThis company has always taken care of its' customers and employeesThis family would have caused this situation for whatever towing company that towed their vehicle that nightCompanies and individuals that know us have used us for years; will continue to use our services for yearsI think if any "shady" business is happening it's not that of the towing companyAs far as business practices, this company helps people every dayWe have been doing it for (20) twenty years and will continue

The individual's daughter's car was not towed because we just showed up to tow the vehicleThe answering service notified the driver on call that the sheriff had a vehicle that they wanted towedThe towing company is not told if this person was/is under arrest or is it our businessWe also have
no knowledge that this person will be charged with anythingWe are asked to pick up the vehicleThe vehicle was towed to the lotThe vehicle was in a safe secure environmentThe driver was under the hood of the carHe opened the hood of the car to jump start the carThe car would not start when he attempted to back it off the roll backWe were notified by her father that her cell phone charger was missingHer father at that time told us we needed to reimburse them for the cell phone charger and that they paid $(eighty dollars) for itThey were told at that time we would offer to pay for a new charger all they had to do was bring in the receiptThe company offered to do this because it's easier to try and satisfy a customer than argueHowever $(eighty dollars) for a cell phone charger is a little out of the ordinaryAfter being told we would reimburse them for a cell phone charger if they brought us a receipt, they call to tell us certain tools are now missing from the trunk of the vehicleThe father is told that we have cameras (night vision cameras) and that he can come in and review the footageThe footage shows the employee is under the hoodThis was to jump start the vehicleThe employee does go to the back of the car with a flashlightThis is because he needs to retrieve the license plate number required for vehicle pick up and storageThe trunk of the vehicle is not liftedThe employee comes back from around the vehicle with flashlight and call slipThe flashlight is on the entire timeThere are no tools in his hands, Footage after that time until light of day never shows anyone go behind the vehicle or the trunk of the vehicle being liftedThere wasn't an unauthorized individual in the vehicleThere were two (2) authorized employees that picked up the vehicleThe video shows the on call employee did his jobThe individual he insists is unauthorized helped jump start the vehicleWe can't help that his daughter's vehicle was towed for what he feels was no legal reasonWe didn't request the towOur lot is very secure, We have cameras from every angle imaginableWe tried to remedy the cell phone charger situation because we thrive on customer satisfactionBut $(eighty dollars) for a cell phone charger is a bit muchI understand he is upset that his daughter's vehicle was towed and there was a tow bill dueWe have been in this business for over twenty (20) yearsWe try, but we will never make every customer happyWe did our jobWe offered to pay for the cell phone charger trying to remedy a situation that comes down to a he said she said situationThe video footage doesn't show anyone in the trunk of his daughter's vehicleYes the employee couldn't get the vehicle started and did open the hood to jump start it

In answer to the business' response. It was NEVER stated that my phone charger was $80.00. It was $29.95 plus tax. The cost of my charger was never discussed. [redacted] (dispatch/secretary) said to buy a new one and bring in the receipt (which I did not do). So ABC did not reimburse me for the charger which I will repeat was NEVER stated to be $80.00. As for their lot being secure it was not or my items would not have been stolen. I was told by a county deputy that by law the lot should be secure as in a locked gate or fenced in area. This is not the case with ABC Towing. As my father watched the video footage you can clearly see that the cameras DO NOT show every angle possible on their property. You can see a person in the trunk (as it was open) and it was [redacted] who stated the person with the driver was an "unauthorized individual" she did not know who he was or why he was with [redacted]. who was the driver. Also what was the reason the car needed to be started to take it off the truck? The response from the business states the second person helped jump start the car but yet he was never under the hood of the car with [redacted]. Also they state they did know why the car needed towed, but yet they clearly marked the "call slip" or receipt as arrest. ** Please see previous complaint with copy of call slip. I understand ABC wasn't responsible for my car needing to be towed but they should have been responsible for it once it was in their possession on their property. So now after reading the answer from the business I can see that they are conjuring up lies and loop holes to cover up their business practices. ( i.e.: no one ever said the charger was $80.00, the "unauthorized person" is now an authorized person, footage did show someone in the trunk as it was open, their lot is not secured, the car needed started to take it off the rollback). All of these things are contradictory to what was discussed on May 13th. My father was not upset about my car being towed and there being a tow bill, we are upset that things were taken out of my car. So essentially I paid ABC Towing to allow things to be stolen from me. That is what has upset us. ABC has twisted this to cover up how they truly do business. It is unfortunate that it has become a "he said she said" situation only because of the lies ABC has told. Mr. [redacted] had not spoken to me or my father about the situation nor was he there when the complaint was made to the company itself as he was transporting cars that day. So he obviously did not get the correct information from [redacted] according to the response. I understand that a business cannot make everyone happy but a business should follow legit business practices and not do "shady" business. It is unfortunate that these types of things seem to be allowed in our business world today. This is not the first time situations like this have occurred with ABC Towing it is just the first time I myself have had to deal with it. That is the reason I reached out to the Revdex.com in hopes of shining a light on things like this so at the very least this business will stop doing "shady" business. Sincerely,
[redacted]

It has been specified by more than one employee that it was over-heard and stated the cell phone charger was $80.00 (eighty dollars). The fact is the company offered to pay for a new cell phone charger if she needed one. All she needed to do was bring in the receipt. Her response to this is found in paragraph (1) one. The vehicle was towed to the lot. The vehicle had to be jump started because the vehicle would not start as stated in the previous letter. Damage is less likely to happen to a vehicle if it is driven rather than winched off the truck. As stated in the previous letter, the footage (this is recorded footage it can't be altered, adjusted or changed) shows the employee is under the hood. This was to jump start the vehicle. Mr. [redacted] did not ask and wasn't concerned that the company had to jump the vehicle. Jump starting a vehicle doesn't require (2) two people under the hood. Usually there is (1) one under the hood and the other at the jump box. The employee does go to the back of the car, as stated before, with a flashlight. Mr. [redacted] states in his original complaint that this flashlight is a "bright light". The employee goes behind the car, as stated before, to retrieve the license plate number. The company requires the number on all vehicles, not just this vehicle, for vehicle pick up and storage. The trunk of the vehicle is never lifted. The employee comes back from around the vehicle with flashlight and call slip. The flashlight is on the entire time. Mr. [redacted] states when he calls, only certain tools are missing. Apparently, somehow brand-name tools are missing, everything else is there. As stated in the previous letter, there are no tools in the employee's hands. I will also state again, the flashlight was on the entire time. Based on the video footage, the time elapsed wasn't enough for anyone to "pick" brand name tools or anything out of a tool box, a trunk, anything. The trunk of this vehicle was not lifted. The company, as stated before, continued to review the footage after that time until light of day. No one goes behind the vehicle nor is the trunk of the vehicle ever lifted. I will also state our apparent "crappy" video led to the arrest of (4) four individuals stealing tools and scrap metal from several business locations. Taped footage can't conjure up or lie about anything. As also stated before, there wasn't an unauthorized individual in the vehicle. There were two (2) authorized employees that picked up the vehicle. [redacted] is a daytime dispatcher. [redacted] dispatches the crew during the day. An answering service dispatches the crew at night. Just because she thinks someone is unauthorized doesn't make it so. She assumed, which was incorrect on her part. She is not given knowledge of who's hired or fired. Each employee must show up with DMV record, have a background check ran, be drug tested and drive with a driver to make sure he knows what he's doing. I was told not to use specific names; however Miss [redacted] has chosen to use them in the second response. l would like the Revdex.com to know, the driver "[redacted]" is a retired military soldier.Miss. [redacted] is absolutely correct the box was marked arrest on the tow ticket. The employees use this box when they are dispatched by the County, City or State Police. It is an assumption on the part of the employee, especially when the vehicle is not wrecked. That certainly doesn't mean the employees or anyone else thought there was going to be an arrest. This is not a onetime thing. Cars are picked up and the officer doesn't charge anyone with anything every day. But as stated before, the towing company is not told if this person was/is under arrest or is it our business. We also, as stated before, have no knowledge that this person will be charged with anything. We are only asked to pick up the vehicle. Should an employee assume, probably not, but that box, is just a box.As far as her father not being upset because of the vehicle being towed; I think paragraph (1) one of the complaint states it pretty well. Again, we can't help that his daughter's vehicle was towed for what they feel was no legal reason. Why didn't she ask the officer if the individual coming to pick her up could retrieve the vehicle? Why didn't the person who was coming to get her tell her they would bring someone to drive the vehicle? The fact is she wasn't permitted to drive and her car was towed. We offered to assist with the cell phone situation. We reviewed the tape several times as well as the camera technician to make sure we weren't missing anything. The trunk of her vehicle was not lifted. I am trying to stay professional in this entire situation, but for this individual to talk ill and trash a business that has done so much for so many is a little ridiculous. Employees have driven to cemeteries staying on a cell phone call with an individual whose vehicle won't start because they are afraid. Driven way out of the area because an area business can't get their van running and they have clients waiting on them. Call the company "shady", I think this family needs to think about what they are saying and the words they find so easy to throw around. This company has always taken care of its' customers and employees. This family would have caused this situation for whatever towing company that towed their vehicle that night. Companies and individuals that know us have used us for years; will continue to use our services for years. I think if any "shady" business is happening it's not that of the towing company. As far as business practices, this company helps people every day. We have been doing it for (20) twenty years and will continue.
