Over the past years, I have rented from Cooke Realty different times and have had mostly minor problems that they corrected On two occasions, I did have substantial problems, but they did what they could to try to fix them Both of the substantial problems were the responsibility of owners and Cooke did refer my complaint to the owners and they did what they could to fix them, including a refund of a cleaning fee on one occasion Cooke's service has been good, although they do need to train their customer service personnel better in how to handle complaints without alienating customers I would recommend Cooke to other prospective renters with a caution to read the rental agreement carefully and to immediately report any problems they find on the day of check in
Beware of the rental agreement you sign with ***If the A/C doesn't work, the rental unit is unclean, the tv's are inoperable or any type of malfunction, it doesn't matterWe had a March rental (NCAA Tourney weekend) and the tv's we inoperable but we told there would be no refund or a substitution of another property under any circumstancesIt was not the prime rental season and properties were available but they do not allow you any escape from your rental agreementI was told that I had rented this property and would not be allowed to change locations This is their policy so beware of what you're getting before you sign the rental agreementWe have done business with these folks for years and the service, in my option, continues to declineThey currently manage a property I have owned for twenty years and will discontinue any association with *** when our current agreement expires
