I am writing this to warn all unsuspecting people not to get trapped by these isI am new to the area, recently purchased a homeI hired several local contractors for servicesI hired ABEC electronics to mount my two flat screen TV's and install a security system with cameraHere are the events as they transpiredThe 1st order was to move my TV's from the apartment to the house and mount themI wanted a 3rd TV for my office in the houseI told them I wanted ***, they quoted a price I thought was competitiveThey sold me a discontinued model that I have since replacedThey left all of my connecting cords from [redacted] and [redacted] player at the apartment after I had turned the keys inI had to buy new cords for bothThe installation of the alarm system was a complete fiascoThey sent a new employee on his first day at workHe had no idea what he was doingThe installation took hours longer than scheduledIn their alarm plan they DO NOT protect the windowsI was in mid installation before I realized, I had a lot going on at the timeThe camera has never worked properly, the mobile app is horribleThe monitoring had a fee of $per month for which I supplied a debit cardThe system was triggered while I was away and there was NO monitoring callThe alarm was blaring for some time according to my neighborNo call from anyoneThe worst of the dealings came days before Christmas after they had already debited there $feeI noticed they had taken an additional $from my checking accountThis charge was completely unwarranted and unauthorizedWhen questioned, they lied about how the charge happenedIt was well after Christmas before my money was returnedThere are rumors of some drug situations, I don't know how true they areDO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE CREDIT CARD INFO - CALL [redacted] FOR ALARMSDon't make the same mistake I did

this company was referred from another larger company to service my specialty item
dropped off the item and about weeks later, got a call that they could do nothing and could not find the parts AND my $could NOT be refunded
the problem is this company is attempting to ABEC ELECTRONICS in richmond on midlothian...AND the refusal to refund the $when proper service was not provided is NOT representative of a contributor to ABEC, the corporation

the problem is this company is attempting to ABEC ELECTRONICS in richmond on midlothian...AND the refusal to refund the $35 when proper service was not provided is NOT representative of a contributor to ABEC, the corporation.

and the rep. kept saying WE TOOK IT APART.Desired Settlement: refund of $35.00

And some service/protection from their WE TOOK IT APART..so that who ACTUALLY repairs it is NOT harmed from their WE TOOK IT APART.

Our signage in the store and our folks that take in our repairs explain our process and this appears to be an example of someone not clear on our process. We have been doing this for 17 years. When you leave an item with us for repair, we take a diagnostic fee. Much like a car diagnostic fee. It is a fee that is paid whether the repair is done or not. It is a fee that covers the techs time to take it apart, confirm problem, find out what exact parts are failing, part number and then research to find the part if the part is even available. This particular customer asked for a refund of the diagnostic fee. It is not our policy to refund the diagnostic fee especially when they sign on the original receipt when dropped off that they understand what the diagnostic fee is for. We apologize that their particular item's parts were not available to be repaired but we still did what we offered to do. We determined what was wrong and why and then attempted to purchase parts on their behalf to fix. This time parts were not available for the repair. Sorry for that outcome.

RESPONSE/REBUTTALThe message states that "we have been doing this for 17 years" ..if this statement is to imply business..then when 17 got there it was no service. According to the message, either the store employee was not properly trained regarding the process and/or the person seeking the service was not properly communicated regarding the process. Either way, the diagnostic fee would AT A MINIMUM/AT LEAST be in line with the business identity AND the argument is that it was NOT. Therefore, the "diagnostic fee" of $35 is not ideal nor warranted. It is of apologies that when service of 17 years arrived that it did not match business/corporation. It could be that during these 17 years there have been numerous situations regarding $35 diagnostic fee that did not complement better business. Sorry for that outcome. RESPONSE/REBUTTAL
