4/10/ID # ***To Whom It May Concern,In regards to the complaint submitted on 4/9/
ID number ***.We were initially called out for units not
working properly 3-30-15.A leak was found to be a result of a
component internal of the unit that had rubbed thru the copper suction
line
This was an internal issue and not related to the installation performed by
Lochridge PriestA copy of the manufactured warranty has been included to
verify the coverage by the manufacturerThe unit had been installed BY
Lochridge Preist in and we had not been back to the customers since April
of maintenance visits as suggested by the manufacturer may have
been able to prevent this from happening.Upon review of the service call that was completed on 3-30-all
work and charges in in accordance with our standard mark up for refrigerant and
consumable charges. The Rrefrigerant that was used is restricted to sale of
persons that must carry an EPA certificationAlthough the customer may have
been able to get pricing over the internet it would not have been available for
purchase without proof of EPA certificationAdditional costs for EPA
regulatory logs and licensing that must be kept, continued training to
recertify are all part of the cost to handle refrigerant, as well as
mark up.The charge for the torch is associated with the cost of gas used
for the repair and brazing material at $15.00.The labor charged to the job was for
performing a condenser coil cleaning checking amp draws on motors, cleaning
drains, inspecting and verifying operation on unitsIncluding the repair for
the leak the entire time billed to the job was for hoursThat is what the
charge would be for just the labor on the preventative maintenance no labor was
charged for the repair of the leak.Upon review if you have additional questions please feel
free to contact me directlyWe strive to offer above average service with
pricing that is fair and in line with the industry standard.Regards,*** *** *** *** Lochridge Priest

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: He states that Lochridge Priest did install our units. We were NOT aware of that because our builder from Towne and country, [redacted] told us it was a company from Austin. So if they did install it (Lochridge Priest) why then when their worker came out to fix it he said he never has seen the way the set up for the new safety switch was located at and that it should not be that way. However now we know that Lochridge Preist did in fact install it. So their own worker, [redacted] admitted that it was done wrong in the first place. if you read the service call invoice [redacted] that I had to call the office to get because [redacted] never gave us a receipt, no where on there does it state that [redacted] put any kind of refrigerant in our units. however the letter Roger wrote to respond to this complaint states that there was R410 refrigerant put in . That is not true. The invoice states in the comments section Refrigerant Used 0 lbs. Also Doug says nothing regarding the employee, [redacted] putting plumber putty . But on the invoice he states he did. And like I said in my complaint my husband had already put the putty on and [redacted] put more putty on top of the putty that was already there. Like I said we had a second opinion done and they said we did NOT need a new drain pan. and the safety switch was fine where it was at. And remember it was Lochridge Priest who put it in like that.I still believe we are entitled to a full refund of $312.19 because work that was done was not needed and he still did not fix the unit.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
[redacted] did not address my main complaint, which is extreme price gouging on my
service call. I was charged $for
Rwhich cost the company less than $45.
This is a 1,percent or times markup. I am not aware of any other repair service
companies that mark up repair parts and supplies by anywhere near this amount
One
service man worked a total of one and one-half hours on this job. [redacted] appears to be implying that the
two hours I was billed was a real bargain
The way
I figure it, the company made $profit on the $I was billed for this
service call
Whether
Lochridge Priest or the manufacturer was responsible for leaving the wire in a
position to rub through the copper pipe, I have no way of knowing. In any event, it took a lot longer than one
year of vibration to eat through the pipe, which was caused by someone's
negligence
