Ability Fire Equipment Inc

Review: This company, and what appears to be a related company, Fire Service Corp. formerly known as Ability Fire Equipment, have been entering a number of our stores under the pretext of conducting a 'fire protection life safety' inspection and then billing us for the 'inspection'. We have no contract, oral or written with this company or any related company. The company does not have the proper authorization from the State, the Contractors State License Board or the fire authority to conduct such inspections and it is outright fraud to enter upon a business' property under the guise of conducting a 'safety' inspection without permission or a written contract and then attempt to obtain payment for such actions. We have or are sending cease and desist letters to this company, however, they have only listed P.O. Boxes on their invoices and with the CSLB, as well as the Secretary of State. Most legitimate businesses have an actual place of business where you may arrive in person to discuss business,Desired Settlement: I would like a full accounting of invoices from them, a wire refund of all payments made to them by us from this or any related business, and a letter confirming that 1. they will never enter any of our stores again, under this or any other business name, and 2. after we have received and deposited our refund, written confirmation that we owe them nothing.

Dear [redacted] (complaint# 9915383),

Thank . you for your letter concerning Invoice [redacted]. At the time of

inspections/service we had received signed approval by [redacted] allowing Ability Fire Preventive

Maintenance Inspections Technicians to provide these inspections. It is mandatory for the technician to ask

for the Manager or supervisor Prior to any service. It is also mandatory for the technician to acquire

Signature of authorization prior to any service being rendered. HE CLEARLY STATED WHERE HE WAS

FROM AND WHAT HE WAS OFFERING. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED WRITTEN PRE-

AUTHORIZATION form signed at the time of service. The pre-authorization form clearly states:

"By signing this form is agreed and understood that proper pre-authorization was given for

all of the fire protection services performed by one or more Ability Fire Preventive Maintenance

Inspections technicians at the location identified below".

The pre-authorization form also states:

"Furthermore, It Is understood that Ability Fire Preventive Maintenance Inspections is a

Private Company".

At no time did [redacted] Inform the technician that no one was there that everyone was at

lunch. If he would have informed the technician that he/she was not authorized to sign then the (technician)

would have been more than happy to either come back at a more convenient time or simply walked away.

Every company has different procedures and if he had been Informed of your procedures then he would

have abided by them.

Please remember that the inspections shall be done according to the office of the State Marshall. I

have placed a partial copy of the law and regulations for your records in hopes you are keeping your

employees In a safe work environment. (See following brief packet)
