Abingdon Large and Small Storage

Review: Rented a storage building from this facility who offers 24 hour security and closed gates from 9pm to 9am. Went to my building to put some items in it only to find that my key wont fit the lock. Called the owner and she stated she rented the building to someone else on March 21st that the building was empty. Asked why my building was empty it was previously locked with my items in it. She stated she didn't know. I had also provided her with a rent check late March that she cashed for April rent. Asked her if she rented out my space without notifying me why didn't she think to call me when she got a check for April rent. Owner said she didn't even think about it. I wonder how many more checks she would have continued to cash without notifying me had I not checked on by unit. Obviously no security to this facility as advertised since she allowed for my belongings to be stolen. Obvious lack of care from this owner.Desired Settlement: A refund on my property would be nice but I don't see it happening without legal pursuit.

We refunded your $40 March rent and $10 deposit, and handed back the April rent check.We are not responsible stolen items, you are supposed to have sufficient insurance to cover items in the storage unit.
