original installation of his boiler  04/**  there was a pre existing leak inside his heat piping which is confined under the concrete slab of the home. Due to water loss because of said leak the new boiler would constantly fill creating an error code. We originally quoted [redacted] $285.00 to install valves In order to isolate this zone and prove leak point. This $285 was never collected from [redacted].  As far as the vent piping through the existing chimney, It exits about 1.5 foot above chimney top. The mfg. of boiler recommends a minimum of 12” distance away from any obstruction. Neither [redacted] nor his wife were satisfied with the appearance of this. At the time of install myself and 2 other installers asked the homeowners how they wanted it to look. The homeowners were going to “sleep on it” and get back to us on what they wanted to do. We are still waiting since 04/** for that response.  As far as the service call that was placed 01/**  [redacted] described to me what was happening with his boiler. I suggested that it sounded like it needed a calcium flush out. I was not definitive with this, rather a speculation due to the recent intake of service calls in the area with similar issues. I told [redacted] if that was the problem then the fee was $240.. not the fee of $340.00 listed in the complaint letter. Calcium flush out is not covered under the mfg.’s warranty. It is needed when supplied water contains elevated hardness levels causing a calcium build up within the units heat exchanger.  This was explained to [redacted] in detail. We are waiting for [redacted] to respond to our [redacted]’s call as for what to do next .

Great company. Great service and knowledge went through many HVAC companies finally found one that I trust.

Review: [redacted] from Able Air Conditioning came and installed a new heating unit that was supposed to be guaranteed for a year. When finished installing it, he hit me with a $285 installation fee to make the system (which HE recommended) work correctly. He also installed a vent pipe approximately 4 feet above my roof that looked hideous and is something I've never seen before on any other houses. When my wife called to complain about it, he was verbally abusive to her. Later on, when I called him about a current heating problem I am having, he confused me with another customer and was arguing with me about an issue that I didn't even have. After finally figuring out which of his customers I am, he "pre-determined" what the issue I was dealing with was, and tried to hit me with a $340 charge (which was NOT covered under my guarantee), without even coming to my house to check it out! [redacted] was not only nasty throughout the entire installation process, but on the phone as well. The unit was installed in April of 2013 and is less than a year old. It SHOULD have been covered under warranty as promised when [redacted] sold me the unit. Additionally, he SHOULD have came over to inspect the unit prior to determining what was wrong with it. After spending $9000 on a unit that was not only recommended, but GUARANTEED, it should be repaired free of charge.Desired Settlement: Ultimately, the unit needs to be repaired. If I had the choice, I'd prefer it be someone other than [redacted], as his unpleasant and sometimes threatening tone has made the whole ordeal very uncomfortable. The cost of repair SHOULD be reimbursed to me by Able Air Conditioning.
