Review: I made an appointment with on Monday August 19 2013 with Able Appliance to fix a dryer vent hose on a stackable unit in a closet. The repairman was here less than 15 minutes. He said he needed a 2nd person in order to replace the hose, as there is no way to reach the back of the unit in the narrow space of the closet. He said he could fix it however, and did so with what looks like aluminum foil or some similar material. He charged $125, which I said seemed like a lot for less than 15 minutes. I paid with check. Unfortunately the first time I used the dryer (which was the following day) lint flew everywhere in the closet as the hose was not really fixed.

I called back and made an appointment for Thursday to have someone come and re-fix the problem. No one should up. I called Able towards the end of the appointment window to see when they were coming and was told they would need a 2nd person and did not have one so they would not be coming at all. I asked why they did not bother to tell me that as I wasted the entire day waiting. They said they had no 2nd technician. The original technician called me back and said he needed a 2nd person and we agreed he would be here the following Monday (8/26). When no one showed up, I called back and was again told there was no 2nd technician available. Again I asked why they had not bothered to communicate that and receive no satisfactory response. I told the representative, [redacted], that I expected a refund for the $125 service charge – or for someone to be here this week to fix the vent hose. He agreed to look into the matter, and later called me to say they would be at my house on Wednesday 8/28 to fix the problem. Again, when no one showed, I called to find out why and was again told the same story. I was told I would receive either a full refund or a phone call. Neither of these things happened.

Almost two weeks without a dryer, a cost of $125 and 3 wasted work days later I would like a refund of my $125.00. The company website states they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. See link at: http://www.ableappliancerepairs.com/index.htm

I am definitely not satisfied with the work they provided, and failed to provide.Desired Settlement: Please issue refund check.
