With the unexpected onset of a medical situation, I needed a means to access my home from a wheelchair and or a walker going up/down 5 to 6 outside steps. Able Care Group was very helpful in suggesting options and ultimately installing a very satisfactory wheelchair lift solution in a short amount of time. Office personnel and installers of this family owned/managed business were totally courteous, helpful and professional and prompt. The wheelchair lift product and workmanship are outstanding. Able went out of their way to satisfy my needs as quickly as possible. The job was done as quickly as possible. Overall, the product is outstanding, the business is caring and professional; finally my assisted living solution is top rated. I would certainly recommend Able Care Group to anyone needing assisted living equipment..

Review: The service provider completed a bathroom modification a few months ago which included tile work. We contacted Lee M[redacted] (left a message) with the provider's office on May 27, 2015 to advise that the grout and the caulk had fallen off around certain tiles. We left another message on May 29, 2015. No return calls. I finally spoke with Mr. M[redacted] on Monday June 1. Mr. M[redacted] was very unresponsive. He said he could not send a contractor out to the house without first having us send him a photo of the issue. He warned that if we did not send the photo it would take longer to address. I sent the photo within 24 hours. I emailed him and left messages over the course of last week but did not hear back from him. I again left a message with the office on June 8, 2015. My complaint against Able Care is two-fold. First, they are unresponsive. Their customer service is atrocious. They seem to have lost interest now that they have been paid in full. Second, the work was poorly done. It is a great concern that only after a few months the tile work is damaged. The contractor that they used was not experienced. He was not a bathroom contractor. He was merely a "handyman". They received thousands of dollars for the work performed. It is not an unreasonable expectation that the work be done correctly and that it be of good quality and performed by experienced individuals. I would like Able Care to send a qualified contractor immediately to repair the defective tile work.Desired Settlement: Repair defective work immediately.

Refrain from sending "handymen" to perform work that should be performed by a qualified contractor.

Be responsive.

I am rejecting this response because: their response is misleading and fails to address the fact that the tile work installation is defective and why they have unqualified individuals performing work that should have been done by a tiling contractor. The current complaint relates to defective work product. It has been 2 weeks since we notified the company of the issue and only today did Lee M[redacted] return my several calls to advise that he would be visiting the home today to "look" at what needs to be repaired. It has yet to be determined if after "looking" at the areas that need to be repaired they will in fact repair the faulty workmanship.

We visited the [redacted] Residence last week and the concern was addressed by Lee M[redacted], both homeowners were satisfied with the corrective action taken.

Review: My 12 y.o son is a quadriplegic and I had able care install 2 chair lift in the house for which I paid in cash. We were told that if he had a repair issue, to call and they would have a technician out ASAP. For the last 2-3 weeks, we have been calling - spoke directly with Mr. Lee M[redacted] and he has told us - we will be there. Unfortunately, this has been going on without much response. I am trying to get my son down the stairs and the seat on one of the chair lifts was not installed properly and is leading over to the side. It is getting progressively worst. I call Mr. Lee on Friday the 11 of Sep and he called my wife - sorry for the delay - will be there on Monday. This is the 3nd time he has promised this. No call, no show nothing.

I need to be able to get my son up and down the stairs.

They have and advertise a grantee of a discount for veterans - that I was told - it did not apply to me. Nothing in their flyer as to there being restrictions. I am a veteran and quite honestly - I just went with it as I need the equipment for my son.Desired Settlement: They need to replace the unit as it may be damaged to the point that the warranty my no longer apply.
