Extremely disappointing experience with this company My experience with AAPM's competitors was to submit a quick and intuitive online application and get a response in about hoursIn contrast, AAPM's application was full of technical errors (for example, it could not be submitted with blank fields, even fields that were non-mandatory or that had no information to disclose)Even after filling out the application, several additional forms had to be printed, signed manually, and emailed separatelyAlso, in addition to the $75/person application fee paid online, their additional $fee for an "eligible co-applicant" (someone who won't pay rent) had to be paid via cashier's check, delivered to their Cary office in personRidiculous Even after all the paperwork was filed, we had to wait several days and then call their office ourselves to discover our application was rejectedUnlike other property managers, who stop taking applications once a promising application is submitted, AAPM apparently accepts multiple applications at a timeWe discovered the reason for this policy shortly: unlike their competitors, who in my experience have refunded the fees for unsuccessful applications, AAPM refused to return the $in feesAnd after all the fuss they made (an entire form that had to be printed, signed, and emailed) to specify that they are the LANDLORD'S AGENT and NOT the applicant'sSo why did we cover your costs of doing business, and for work you did for someone else? If you're a tenant, don't botherIt took us two weeks of jumping through hoops to find out we paid these guys to do someone else's dirty work If you're a landlord, AAPM clearly has plenty of forms, rules, and policies in place to protect you and to protect their pocketbooksJust be careful they don't chase away your tenants in the process
