This is response to Revdex.com#*** submitted by Mr*** *** residing at *** *** *** *** ** ***.Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns in regards to your first month's invoice Please understand, during the first billing cycle, there were many days that the low
temperature was in the 40's or belowDuring this type of weather, customer's will see an increase in the natural gas usage due to the use of the heater During the next billing cycle, there were many days that the low temperature was in the 60's or higher resulting in lower gas consumptionA copy of the temperatures during each billing cycle has been been attached for your review. On 3/27/2015, a CenterPoint Energy technician traveled to the service address and reviewed the reading and also checked for leaks There were no leaks found and the reading provided by the tech verified the invoiced reading was correct Based on this information provided, there are no adjustments warranted. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue my have cause and greatly appreciate your business.Respectfully,*** ***CenterPoint Energy

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:I only had days in the billing cycle and after discussing our bill on the community blog with our neighbors it was unanimous that our bill was higher than all of their day cycles This is with the fact that we always turned off the heat during these "cold" nights Which is atypical but our preference I believe the mistake came as the initial/begining reading was never made and/or incorrectly estimated I would like photographic proof that our inital reading was CCFs, because sending a tech out after the fact would do nothing (as I told them on the phone) to prove this If this can't be provided, I would ask that I pay you the amount of my second bill plus a little premium instead of the $I paid

submitted by Ms*** *** residing at *** *** ***, Smithville, TX
We reviewed the account and found that a
payment was attempted for the amount due of $on 4/1/2016. The
payment was returned due to a
CLOSED ACCOUNT on 4/6/2016. As a result, CenterPoint Energy disconnected
the service due to nonpayment - 04/08/at 10:01:AM. CenterPoint Energy does not notify customers
of a disconnection for a returned check on a second offence. Our records show that a payment was returned
for $on 3/6/due to NO ACCOUNT FOUND OR UNABLE TO LOCATE.
Additionally The charges to have the services
restored totaled $- $returned check, $deposit and $
reconnection fee however, $was the minimum quoted through the IVR (3/of the
total balance) to reconnect the service.
Ms*** made a payment for $which was $short of the
minimum. She was prompted to pay the
remainder of the minimum due.
Within the last twelve months, seven
delinquent/shut off notices were issued to Ms***Once the service is
disconnected for non-payment, a deposit of $was required to secure the
account. At any time should the service get
turned off and no request is made to be restored, CenterPoint Energy will have
a guaranteed payment towards the final billSince CenterPoint Energy did not
receive a good payment prior to the disconnection of service, applicable fees
will remain
We would encourage Ms*** to consider
enrolling into CenterPoint Energy's Automatic Payment Plan to ensure timely
payments, accurate banking information and to avoid interruption of service
Kind regards,
