Above and Beyond Siding and Roofing

We went out and gave Mr [redacted] a detailed proposal for a scope of work to be performed at his homeHe wound up signing a proposal with a different GC but our company did the install of the windows and siding for the other GCSo we have never signed any contract with Mr [redacted] Then we purchased the windows and siding and installed themWe were never paid and have an outstanding balance with the GC/ Mr [redacted] of $23,That being said he called me and said that his rear window was leaking and we went out to look at the window to avoid any further damage while this issue of non payment is being resolvedWhen we went out we removed the siding, inspected the flashing, reinstalled the siding, and performed a water testThe window did not leakThe GC who has the signed contract with Mr [redacted] also went out and inspected the job and determined it to be a roof leak causing the water penetrationMr [redacted] claims that there was no water penetration before we worked there but the wall where the window is located had to be reframed because of rot which we have pictures ofWe are willing to go out and resolve this issueBut if it is determined to be the roof we would like to be compensated for our time as we are already in a deep hole due to non payment on this job.Please let me know if you need any further information from me in regards to this issueThank you for your time and have a wonderful day
